DDTS-100 Help Req

Hi I've just bought a refurb DDTS-100 and it didn't come with a manual. I've also just ordered some T7900 Speakers and havent had a chance to play around with it yet but wondered if anyone could point me to a manual online somewhere as there isn't one on creatives site or if some one could advice as to what to use each of the settings for I would be greatful

I'm mainly going to be using it for music, gaming and movies on the pc and using with my MP3 player and console so knowing what setting would be best for each would be helpful

Hi and thanks, couldnt find it linked to the product page or as a download, sadly doesnt answer my problem of connecting the 4 wires from the DDTS-100 breakout box to my audigy 2 zs plat pro. Have to see if I can find a optical cable somewhere

Looking at the pics of the back of it, it looks like you can only output 5.1 from it even though you can give it a 7.1 signal.

A solution to this would be to just plug the rear speaker output from the audigy directly into the rear input for the speakers.

Another solution would be to use a splitter on the 4/5 output (surround) and give the same signal to the surrounds and rears. You might have to mess with the levels then.

If you use an optical cable, you're only going to get stereo out of the audigy.

I explained why this isn't ideal in this thread but in that case the external decoder was the control box on the Logitech z-5500s. The same logic would apply to this situation.

If you do end up deciding you want to run an optical cable, dayton makes some nice ones with great build quality for the price.

How about connecting the speakers to the DDTS-100 and then connecting the DDTS-100 to the audigy breakout box via digi coax ? or same results as optical ....

Sorry I'm still learning.... I know what I want to do it's just trying to get there

Digital coax is the same signal as digital optical basically. The same issues still apply.
