i'm sorry but i have not heard one bose system that can hit 25hz.

you can port all you want but you're NOT going to see 25hz with 4inch drivers. klipsch promedia's have a ported sub with dual 6.5inch drivers....and that system cannot hit 25hz. i doubt a little $20 compaq speaker system will be able to.

well this is a $200 set of speakers. It works like a bandpass box. I don't think you'll get a flat 25hz, but if it can get close i'll be happy, esp for $40.

OUTA stock now, but if your looking for some good speakers look up the boka 850 watt sub sytem, they title generic, but they are about the best speakers that i have heard for their affordable price

Great post. I ordered around noon, and now have a status of:

"Order has printed in the warehouse and is being packed"

I talked to my rep, and he said they were due in any day. Out of the 500, 350+ had been sold when I called, so I'm sure this is dead by now.

Too bad they have to ship it. I'm just down the street.

Good news for everyone that placed an order successfully. The two I ordered at noonish shipped already. It said none were available, but I placed my order online anyway. Plus my rep bumped 'em down to $17 each.

FYI, it sounds like Compaq discontinued them, so this is probably a one time deal on these.

Yeah but, those overated amps have specs like 1000 watts at 75% THD, these are 140 watt RMS @ 0.05% THD+N (THD=Total Harmonic Distortion)
