After ordering my second set, the counter showed 254 sets still available.

I didn't sleep well, thinking this buy will be: a bust, but fun to watch; a really GREAT deal, so why did I only order one?; or, a rip-off that disappoints many. Seeing all the action after I went to bed and the review Hawaiian Kine posted, plus the references to other prices .... well, I ordered a second one.

It looks like Compaq is getting out of the speaker business. CPQ Premier Sound Home Page At the bottom of the page under each of their two products they say &quot;Sorry, No Longer Available&quot; This may explain the price and I suspect it may not be in error, just a liquidation.

This doesn't mean its a bad product, maybe just rather they recongize its the wrong product line for CPQ to vertical into.

I'm still getting one.

Got a question. As the are from Compaq, and have a &quot;conservative, professional visual design&quot; will my boss mind if I bring them to the office? My office is directly above his, I have a feeling that the 140 watt subwoofer may present somewhat of a problem (g).

Actually one of the main reasons I got them was the headphone outlet on the satellite. I want to be able to hook up my Senn 600's (another Hot deals purchase) to the computer with relative ease.

If you have a stereo jack input on them and 2500 feet of power extension cord. Hmmmmmmmm throw the boom box and woofer in a back pack. Get a FULL ski mask and slip the two speakers under it to hold them in place. Hell yeah NP you can walk around the block !
