When I ordered last night I got the same Credit Card Authorization screen. I too was suspicious but this morning I got my UPS tracking number. Apparently they're having some trouble with their credit card verification system.

If your order is still "pending credit card authorization", call them and they will initiate the credit scan. In about 15 minutes your order will be updated.

I just talked to one of their CSR reps, they're backordered 644 units and the guy said he thinks most won't be fufilled. Compaq stopped making these so its not like they can get s'more. Wish I had jumped on this sooner, didn't 'cause I thought they weren't good speakers, then my friend educated me on how stupid i was not to jump on this, oh well.

Sent in my order last night. They also gave me a tracking number that isn't in the UPS tracking system yet.

Also, I checked my cc statement online and $40 seems to be gone from my available credit. Hope I get it It'll sure kick the 30-some watt altec lansings I'm using right now.

some good news...

Called CSR today. They said all those who ordered yesterday or early morning are definitely getting their speakers.

I ordered yesterday and Fedex should receive order this afternoon, a tracking code will be out by Thursday and I should be receiving the package by Monday or Tuesday.

And, even though it says not available, it still lets you put it in your cart and go to the payment page. I didn't want another pair, so I didn't enter CC info. I'll be frustrated if I don't get one... I went online to buy 2, would not let me because it said I already had an account. I figured out that it was from 2+ years ago, and was able to get in... After I did this, it would not let me buy it, as it said my credit card # was on file for another user!... I called and they would not take my order, but figured out that my card was tied to a business order I made 2 jobs ago...

To make a short story long, I went back on-line an hour later and tried the same credit card and got the same error... So I put it on another card. If I knew they were going to run out, I would have done this when I first tried to order them this morning...

Oh well, if I get them, more reasons for my wife to divorce me!
