Okay. got them both. Front is plastic, all the rest is aluminum. But, I knew that ... kinda plastic'ish.. but what do you expect from a alum case with 300w power supply for $35 ?

what i'm dissappointed in is there is no front usb ports .. J/K I found them.. on the right side of front bezel.. haha.. 2 usb and headphone/input. i'm blind

I'm happy now .. thanks lilricedude!

It comes with a sidefan with led lights... i always thought these were cheezy... but I'm cheezy now...
sidefan has a thermosister.. i'm guessing for speedingup/slowdown depending on temperature.

this thing is SOOO light !

Well, all i have to say is this statement should make you dig a hole and put your head it it. Because it IS a real aluminum case and NOT A PAINTED "STELL" CASE. Haha. Lots of aluminum cases have plastic front bezels.. take a look at Chieftec, etc. The only different is the chieftec sells for $70+ without a power supply!

If I were you, I will dispute the charge on my CC.
Just did so...we'll see how it goes.

I donno what that is.. i have a amd system. Ignoring the device cable wires, there are 3 connectors. One is obviously the 20pin to motherboard. Then there is a squarish 4 pin and a long 6 pin. Does that help?

If you look at:
http://www.anandtech.com/printarticle.html?i=1499

to the right of where it says "Page 4" is the connector I'm asking about.

Does it look like that?

That's it.

The power supply has only 1 fan, but it's speed is adjusted by the power output.. similar to antec's solution.
You can add up to 3 fans in the case, but the top one is probably not a good idea. I see no vent channel for the top fan. weird why they would even put the capability to put one there...

edit.. blinded by ignorance again.. apparently, the top fan blow hot air up at the aluminum top to dissipate heat... with 4 small channels of holes which go back into the case. So the hot air goes in a circle... continually blowing at the top of the aluminum case. Not sure if that right..

Thank you very much, I don't have to worry about finding an adapter, or another power supply.

Last of the parts for the new computer are coming in. Most parts are AT "Hot Deals" - GF4 Ti4200 8x 128MB $79, HP 300i DVD+RW $149, 80GB 8mb cache Maxtor $69, 120GB 2mb cache Maxtor $79, 1GB Crucial PC2100 DDR $110, and now the case $36 (1/2 of $72). Motherboard was a ebay buy, no deal but in stock, $250 for Gigabyte 8INXP. And I'm borrowing a P4-based Celery 1.7Ghz until I find my new processor... Already have a Mitsu Precise Point 21" (15 pin and 5BNC) with capacitive touchscreen. Should make a nice upgrade to my old P3 1Ghz box - 'bout time too.

Thanks again

Well, on the LP6100 version included, it marks the DC Output equivalent to the LP6100C. But, the "C" version includes Dual Ball bearing fan and internal fan rpm monitoring. The power supply is pretty light in terms of weight, so I don't think it's comparable to like an antec truepower. In my past experiences, the heavier the power supply, the better.

I believe it should be the LP6100C...since its the only one that is 300w.
This has links to AMD and Intel tests on the psu.

Intel states psus may fail some non-critical tests and still pass overall but this psu at least passed all tests; critical or not.
..so i guess its safe to say we got our money's worth.

Just want to know if the P/S can be heard. I have made systems with the Raidmax case and found them to be excessively loud due to the lack of muffling of thin aluminum case. Needed to spend extra money on quiet fans and changed the P/S fan to Panaflo so I didn't have an airplane under the desk.

Accessories: LED 80 mm fans, Mitsumi FD w/aluminum faceplate, round cables and Cathode light. I am an avid customer of Computergeeks, but for the accessories SVC is hard to beat.

Re: Computergeeks RMA - had three RMA's from them and it took about two weeks turnaround time and I paid for the return. One was a Powmax P/S in one of their cases. Slow, but taken care of.

Yes, it can be heard, but not much louder than my antec truepower 330watt - which is supposedly very quiet. This is my first aluminum case, and I agree that aluminum cases leak lots more noise than steel. Not only that, I don't think they cool that much better either. I only like aluminum because of the weight...
