fortunately someof us took pictures of the orignial graphic. i faxed the screen shot to the package i sent off to michael dell's office.

I talked to support in India and the CSR says everything on their computer shows I ordered a 2005 and that is what they shipped. He said there was nothing he could do.

Anyone know Michael Dells email and Fax? I drafted a one page document outlining their terms and policys and as a consumer I am in the right.

Yea, i've already called my CC and disputed the charges so the funds are back in my account. DHL has also been notified and the package will make a U-Turn at the local facility and head right back to dell. The lady at DHL chuckled and said she gets about 5-6 local calls a week with people refusing shipment on products from dell, looks like its fairly common.

So, the good news is I've pulled one out of the box to check for dead pixels, and there isn't a single one to be found!

1 down, 1 to go, and 2 to arrive still heh.

So what's the verdict?

And do you plan on selling me one for a price more than you paid for it but less than I would otherwise?

i can back that up, 2 emails, one for order acceptance and one for order cofirmation, both say 2405fpw... so my receipts say 2405fpw and then they send me 2005s without any notification. may not be illegal but it's crappy bidness.

I'm pretty sure that Dell as agreed to the set terms and conditions by Sending out the Order Confirmation emails and then physically shipping the product.

Amazon has the same policy but there terms state that the there is no contract until the item has shipped. Amazon is very shrewd with their business practices because of online pricing mistakes. By making the contract null and void until shipment, they can check all orders as thoroughly as possible.

BTW, everyone isn't a bunch of scammers... If you knew nothing about monitors and ordered one, I would expect you would want to get the one you ordered...

Who here is in that boat? Everyone I have seen posting knew darn well that it was a typo, they jumped on it to try to take advantage of dell. Usually ill just keep my trap shut and let people do whatever, but if this happens all the time, do you think that we will continue to get as many dell deals as we have been?
I am grateful for the deal i got on my 2005fpw, and i hope to jump in on a laptop deal in a couple weeks for my GF. It comes down to ethics.
