So I called the central customer service that the one earring of one pair didn't have a 'screw' back. It came with a plain 'push' back.
The woman on the phone mentioned that they don't ship accessories, such as the screw back, by itself. I need to mail the entire set then they would mail it back to me.....hoping that nothing's missing. Kinda screwy, no pun intended.
So I called the local Zales store. The guy on the phone gave me the run-around. Conversation was almost a full hour. Bottomline is that he does not want to promise that they will have in stock a screw back for that particular earring. "I thought all white gold earring screwbacks would be almost generic/universal."
Here's the best part:
He then suggested that I should return the pair with the missing screwback for a refund then order the same pair and hope that it's complete and without defects. As if I really expect them that I can get the same pair at the 'hot deal' price of $99.99??
What kind of customer service is this?!?!?
