DEAD 65" Toshiba 1080p DLP HDTV in day after Christmas Fry's ad, $999+tax out the door

Noticed this in this week's Fry's ad in Phoenix, checked http://www.frys-electronics-ads.com/ and it seems this is going on in a lot of areas (Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW), Houston (HOU), Los Angeles/Orange County (LA), San Jose (SJ), Phoenix, Renton and Chicago areas)

One per customer, while supplies last, no substitutions or rainchecks

Any word on the quality of this TV? I've been browsing FatWallet, found a thread that mentions a similar Toshiba TV but it might not be the same model number (no way to tell in these kinds of ads). The users who got the TV in the fatwallet threads I found said it was fantastic, though.

outpost.com doesn't have the TV listed anywhere, so I assume they're just trying to get rid of remaining stock. There may only be a few in the store. These things probably won't last long after the store opens.

Prices have been dropping like a rock. And then again, maybe the TV you bought is better quality; who knows.

If I was in the market for an HDTV, I'd be all over this deal, especially given that most of the issues with DLPs are fixed now. This is one of those fancy 6-mirror "no rainbow" models, right? Wish there were a Fry's near us.

If this is the 65HM167, then it is a steal.
But the picture is not of a 65HM167 because the bazel is to wide. But looking around I cant find another model of a 65 toshiba.
And because they didn't put the model number in the add, pricematching will be nearly imposable.

I paid over $3000 for my 65" HDTV that does 1080i but that was 5+ years ago now. Amazing.

Yeah, DLP's have an amazing picture-- this is definitely a really good find! The RBE has been eliminated in the new models...you wouldn't have to worry about that with a top of the line one like this..

Fry's couldn't fit their DVD section into a CompUSA store! Seriously, their stores are huge...my local store is 180,000 sq. ft.
