I was a little worried about the deal being sketchy too... luckily I was the second person the store to try out the deal, so maybe the red flags hadn't been raised yet. I also heard the sales guy say that the price I got it for i sabout 15% below cost from their distributer.

As tempting as this seems, I think I'm going wait for a PCI Express version.
Why?
Because my next upgrade is going to be big. At least I hope so. I'll probably fold and order an AGP model online if I can get a good price on it. I'd really like to get PCI-Express, BTX, and 64 bit all in one fell swoop, but I highly doubt I'll have such luck.

Three days, three different San Diego-area CompUSA's, no luck. Ain't giving up yet though.
Update: Attempt #4 paid off. Reserved the GT for 301.69. Thanks for posting your receipt Zbox, the guy was telling me no until I showed that to him. Still took a call to the manager and thirty minutes of waiting to get it done, but it was worth it.

Cost on a 6800 Ultra is like 489 bucks, whereas cost for an X800 Pro is 324 and XT is 406. For some reason the Nvidia cards coming out have a much higher cost, that's why this deal is even hotter! You didn't hear that from me, and NO I DON'T WORK AT COMPUSA!!! Or do I....
Get TAP on it and overclock to high hell! If you fry it, take it back and get a free replacement guys! You know I am!

Try minnetonka again, it just depends on what manager is on. I was there around 2:30 today and I got it with absolutely no hassle at all.
