Purchased the PNY FX 5200 128 for $33 after PM to CompUSA and AR.

Saw a similar thread over at FW the other day.

Saw it at work yesterday and stopped at COMPUSA and got flyer with the 30% off vid cars deal on last page and confirmed the PNY FX 5200 128 was in stock. Went up the road to Best Buy and took a PNY FX 5200 128 to customer service for a PM.
Customer service called COMPUSA who looked it up using the 6 digit COMPUSA P/N. COMPUSA then told BB that the item sold for $99.99 and there were no special discounts. I insisted BB recall COMPUSA and inquire about the advertised discount. The second time they called, COMPUSA gave em the correct $69.99 price. Best Buy sold it for $62.99, including a 10% discount on the sale price (I always thought the 10% was on the difference). Anyway price comes out to $33 after the PNY $30 MIR.

I forgot some details he gave me:

1. He said that he is unable to order the regular 6800 since it as listed as 'coming soon'. The others are 'sold out'.
2. He could place orders for the 6800 GT and Ultra, but the GT wouldn't accept the discount. Having worked at ChumpUSA in the past, I know this is because the discount takes is below their cost.

So basically, that means you can get the 6800 Ultra pre-ordered. He said something about being able to order the GT, and you could probably get the discount when it came in (since the order was placed during the sale). This sounded kinda iffy, so I just sticked with the Ultra (I originally was going to cheap-out with the plain 6800).

Well, for tonight, I'll just reply to PM with his info, and as long as he doesn't call tomorrow and yell at me, I'll go ahead and just post it in this thread. The last thing I want to do though, is have CompUSSR corporate get pissed, fire him, and cancel all the orders he did. I asked him, and he said I was the first order he processed for the 6800. Best of luck to everyone else.

where you getting those prices for x800's? cuz that is definitely not correct... $399 for Pro, and $499 for XT, if i recall...
