Well it appears that dell has killed the msi page. Must of had too many people getting in on the sale. I would expect for the xfx page to go down soon as well but it's working at the moment. If you want to get in you better order right now.

I'm pretty sure that once dells allotment was consumed that they ended the sale. Other retailers are expecting shipments this week so we should have our cards sometime during the middle of next month. I certainly hope we get our cards and if it does take until just before x-mas we still saved a bundle of money going this route.

just jump on a good deal for 8800gt if that's what you want. seriously, how much faster is the gts gonna be with basically 8800gt sc speeds and 16 extra SP's? for about 50% more money it won't be worth it. the 8800gt and 3870 are THE cards to have for the foreseeable future. specifically, 8800gt will mop the floor with your xfire x1900's plus you won't have to worry about the xfire hassles. shoot, a 3870 that oc's (as almost all that I have seen will) to 860/2550 + will hang with an 8800gt for that matter and probably be closer to an SC in most modern titles, and that one will probably either be revenue neutral or even a slight gain for you.

I broke down and bought it. I hope I'm not sorry. I think the tipping point was when the Unreal Tournament 3 Editor said it didn't support Shader Model 2.0 cards (like my x800xt-GTO) and I couldn't see the (needed) grid lines in the Editor. After getting $6 back in Fat Cash and $2.50 back through my credit card, it should come to $212 shipped after taxes.

Couldn't I just overclock the MSI card?
Is there a notable performance difference between the two?
I just paid $100 more for the eVGA card.

The MSI is overclocked, too, out of the box and will probably reach "superclocked" speeds easily.

Right now Dell has the best deals out of anybody... They take two weeks to ship because of the chrismas frenzy. But they are real stock items... the listing is disabling (give an item not found) whenever they are out of stock, and then comes back on when it gets back in stock.
