No problem, glad someone was able to take advantage of it. I had already canceled my Dell order and gotten an XFX card from newegg, so no G92 for me, oh well!

I ordered 3 of the MSI 8800GT cards from Dell on 11/27 ($207. ea)a nd the shipping date got pushed back every week, today it went to 12-28 so I ended up cancelling

Seem like a Computer Co. could manage to run an decent inventory managment system.

mine was delayed, but to.... wait for it....

I never recieved and email asking to keep the order. When I called, the csr rep was less then helpfull, without even a hint of compensation. The first 8800gt i find under $250 gets my money... otherwise i'll wait for the inevitable cancellation.

Is demand dying down? There's been a handful of 8800GTs on NewEgg starting at around $260 for at least the last day or so. It's not as good as $220 shipped, but it's not terrible compared to some earlier price rape.

I still don't understand how dell prioritizes their orders. I placed my order on 11/24 and had my ship date pushed back twice. Others ordered after me and received their cards yet people who ordered when I did have nothing but delays. I will not be inclined to order anything else from dell. Newegg shipped my gts the same day I ordered it and I had it in my hands just days later. Now I'm watching for the new cards as both of my evga cards are eligible for the step up program.

Boy was that fast. I got them tonight. I ordered them Tuesday night and they are here Friday. I went the cheapest shipping also (by ground). In time for Christmas...

I was willing to wait for the MSI (or whatever they send), but the way Dell is handling this, especially with all these automatic cancellations have me wondering if I'm waiting for Godot over here.

BFG 8800gt OC from best buy was on sale at BB for 251.99 and i had $20 of BB rewards burning a hole in my pocklet.


231.99 out the door.

I got lucky I had check the store for availability and the website said neither local store had any. went to pick up COD4 and low an behold 1 BFG was on the shelf. Merry x-mas to me

Time to call Dell and cancel.

I think Dell wanted everybody to cancel. Due to loss or no profit... I don't know. I orderd my card 12-24-07... after 3 delays and few phone calls... I cancled at their request. They just shined all us customers along with no results. The only thing I got from this... Is to remind me how important it is to treat my customers. I will continue to tell my buisness friends to not order anything from Dell.

I also would like to know if anyone got the msi card from Dell.

Were you rude when speaking to Dell? What did you have to say to get Dell to request you cancel your order? I've heard at least one person on this forum claim the MSI card was being discontinued, that clearly is untrue as newegg.com has the MSI card in stock.
