There are rebates for both the 2MB and the 8MB version. Go to BB's website and each rebate clearly indicates the 2MB and 8MB as well as the L and J model numbers. Maxtor has no rebates listed for BB, so it is clearly a BB rebate. Also, BB rebates go to Calais, Maine while Maxtor rebates go to Miami, FL. Take this info to Staples and see what they say Their CSRs are known to be kinda nasty, you gotta have all the info up front and ready to go.

I'm not gonna be able to check this out until after work; I have a $30 off $100 that is in-store only as well as a GC, but there is no reason Staples should not PM this. If they give you BS, present all the facts to them so that they can't give you any reason not to PM.

I was able to get $10 off and 10% off with the coupon in my B&M for the 120gb. The first scan for the 10% off coupon only deducted $10 off instead of 10%. I complained about that then I got 10% off as well.

I went to BB, got the ad and checked what they had. The one here had the 2MB chache for $179 and the 8MB for $199. I took the ad to Staples where they only had the 8MB, they PM'ed with no problem at all!

BB 179.99 - 60 Rebate = 119.99
PM to Staples -10% = 113.99
used Coupon xxxxx 20 off 50 = 93.99
+ Tax = 6.58
Total = 100.56

With 2 matching models, raid is easily possible

Or someone can offer to buy them from me at a small profit.

Of course since serial ATA is here and drives are out, all of this stuff will be slow in 6 months anyway. They first model serial ATA drives apparently are not substantially faster just yet but are getting there.
