My order was cancelled on product shipping center, yet I never recieved an email from AMD solution provider stating that my order was cancelled. Is anyone in the same situation?

I know they haven't run out of these combos because I just ordered mine through Retail Access ($179 after MIR for Retail Employees) on the 7/13/04 and my order status is "Shipped - These items have shipped. Please check your email for tracking information" as of today (7/15/04). I don't know if the order numbers are done the same way with that deal and this deal, but my order number is E9345*** if that means anything to anyone.

Well I'm not sure if you understand that the deal I got relates to ANOTHER thread, not this thread. I was just posting it here so that you guys knew that they must still have these combos (although the two deals are distinct and have different pricing schemes, they are for the EXACT same bundle). I just got a summer job at Radio Shack so I'm eligible for the Retail Employee deal for $179 after MIR. I picked the cheapest method of shipping which ended up being $13.53 to Maryland. As I said, I don't know if this information would even help anyone in this thread since the deals are slightly different.

Side note: I was finally able to register at Market Builder but I can't find the quiz. Does the quiz/link for the quiz still exist?

First of all, TURN OFF YOUR CAPS LOCK!!!!

Second, you do want to update the BIOS from 1001 to 1003, but do not use EZFlash (ALT+F2). You must use AFUDOS to flash the BIOS or the BIOS chip will get corrupted and you will have to have it reflashed by ASUS or buy a new chip!

I thought mine had 1003 on it even though the sticker said 1001. I forgot where I saw the 1003, I think in the BIOS setup. I don't have it plugged in right now so I can check.

Turn off your Caps Lock.

I guess I will share my experiences with 1001 and 1003 bioses. I didn't try the beta bios. Anyway, on the Asus site it says 1001 doesn't support CG revision CPUs but it does support the 3200+ CG. I changed to 1003 hoping to get rid of a problem I was having with my BH6 ram and ended up with the same problem but I lost 1k on 3dmark01. After switching back to 1001 I am back up to 22k on 3dmark01. I plan on sticking with 1001 till I see something positive posted about 1003.

MINE IS ALL SINGLE-SIDED 3X 256MB PC2700 MUSHKIN...WILL PUT ALL 3 IN SLOT.

If all the DRIPPY NOSE de WEDGEY PULLIN BUTCRACK DIGGERS wouldn't have been SNIFFLIN in this so called other thread and SCREEMING for a LOCK,them alot of members may have learned something on this deal.Any way I was the big bad RetailAccess Deal killer.........Umm ya o.k. :light: ......anyway....... Definitely update the bios. My combo w/9800 Pro couldnt get through the XP install without locking up. I triple checked all the connections and reset the bios twice before updating, should have done the bios first. Also, the flasher is kinda screwy. afudos wants the rom file right next to the /i switch, so no space. For awhile I didnt know why the flash wouldn't work. After that its smooth sailing.
