Anybody else having problems with the company they have doing the rebates? I emailed for a status on my rebate because they never emailed me to confirm they received the rebate (like it says they will do on the rebate form) and it took them 5 days to respond. Then their response was entirely wrong, it called my by a different name then didn't answer my question at all. I tried to reply and got sent a form letter that they don't accept email replys and to write to status@onrebate.com all over again. I emailed them again and got a 2nd nonsensical reply to resubmit the rebate and wait an hour for a confirmation code (which makes no sense because there is no physical way for them to get a rebate an hour after I mail it; which is exactly what they said). Looks like this rebate company has no intention to pay any of us, even those that are eligible.

So are you saying that you have an order that's being shipped out? Otherwise I believe that this is indeed dead. Anyone who got the link should think twice before using it. Can't we let this thread die and just create another one to track the rebates and use the existing threads for talk about setting up the system for those that got in......

I've had to deal with the same situation as you. These tards better get their act together!

Ditto. I know the cancellation is coming, but I'm dreading it just the same.

After a couple of calls to my bank... for verification on Tiger direct's behalf, the LAdy assured me that it was going through... and that it would ship today...

So the deal still works and I ordered next day shipping...
So I should be getting mine in a day or so...

e-mail I received from AMD

In our previous communication with you, we included a link to the AMD Solution Provider Overview which explains the different levels of membership in the AMD Solution Provider Program. What transpired was that the promotion site was compromised from an outside source, allowing anyone to by-pass the code that checked for the member level status and access the promotion. The security breach was rectified as soon as possible, but many orders were placed in the very short time that the breach was active. These orders were cancelled in accordance with eligibility as defined by the official rules. Unfortunately, AMD is not involved in the ordering, packaging, or shipping of the promotion product, and we were unable to cancel all of the illegitimate orders before some shipped.

As we stated previously, the official rules are a legally binding document. When a company holds a promotion there are state and federal laws controlling the promotion. We know that your company is not a gold or platinum member because we keep a database of all AMD Solution Provider members, which includes their member status. Your company is listed as an associate member.

I take back the nonsensical sh** I wrote. I didn't realize the severity of the situation. I, like alot of others really wanted in on this. Now that one of the fellow AT'ers recieved a letter from AMD, it proves the stance the mods had to take. Anyone with me on the official locking of this thread?

I got a P160 and it's pretty sweet. Get a sunbeam fan controller from svc or somewhere and it has blue leds that match.

Heh, i'm looking for the P160 deal now. There was some great deals in the past which I should've jumped on, but didn't know there would be an AMD combo deal in the near future.
