Those are some of the best power supplies around.

Don't worry it will be just fine. I had a Fortron 300w that pushed my p4 to 3.4ghz, 9800pro, 3hd's, cdrw no problem.

DOH! doesnt look good for me, i checked my online banking and the purchase disappeared. they did take the money from my account on the 8th when i ordered it but i check today and its gone. my status on the website still shows drop ship. i do have enough funds i dont know why it happened. it cant be overdraft because there was no overdraft fee. anyone have the same experience?

Same thing happened to me. They charged my account on the 8th, but I just received a credit today. It still says drop-shipped when I check my order status though. Definitely isn't looking too good.

Both you guys look read the terms from the product shipping center,They do NOT charge you UNTILL the Product ships!They charge you card or bankaccount with a hold to make sure you have the funds avalible befor processing your order.Then the funds are released after 24 hours yousaly.My bankofamerica checking account HELD the Money for 24 hours then droped it from pending transaction,I still have no charge for my bundle I'm useing right now.I look for the charge to have been sumited today on delivery LIKE Dell does and to post to my account tonight @ midnight.Good Luck-CB

Yes, this has happened to the majority of the people still waiting on their combo to arrive. I think you have a misunderstanding of that's actually going on. I'll try to break it down for you in a more easy to understand fashion.

Your money was never really taken out of your bank account or credit card. It's called a "hold", businesses send out a temporary mock charge of the amount they are GOING to charge. They use this to make sure you havent gone over your monthly limit (credit limit) or if you have enough money (bank account) while they prepare your order.

Generally most orders are follwed up quickly and are quickly follwed with the real charge (most companies including AMD will only charge once your order has shipped). In this case, AMD was unable to ship all of these orders as they thought when they recieved of a sudden surge of orders (AT, FW, and slickdeals effect combined). These holds typically have a 2-3 day limit. If the company charging you has not followed up, the hold is released and your money/credit is "returned" to you.

question for the educated about power supplies:
Im running my computer with a allied 400watt "switching power supply." I remember it was pretty cheap, around maybe $40 retail from www.pcclub.com. Do you think this power supply can handle this new high end setup as I am only running an xp 1600+ right now. my intuition *song plays in head* tells me that I should just get a new power supply and be safe, but I wanted to know what you guys thought. Thanks for the help in advance, and if you do suggest to get a new power supply, what company do you recommend.

Never had any experience with allied myself, but it's categorized as generic to me, but I remember someone posting the recommended psu for this cpu was 300watts and 350 for a higher end pc.

EDIT: I just called Tiger Direct to see why it was cancelled (yes, I know...I know) and they said the AMD server is down that has the information for those orders, and that any status it could be showing COULD be incorrect. The dude said he'd know later on today.

So, I guess hope isn't totally lost...but it still seems to be in short supply.

Mine was cancelled

The TD rep said the order appeared to be have been cancelled the same day of the order?!?! He sounded puzzled and said that it was odd that no initials, nor reason were attached to the cancelled order.

I explained to him that I called several times and was told it would ship no later than this week.

I am grateful I did not order any other parts for the system.

I am disappointed to say the least. While I do realize AMD only has so many systems....I am irked that they could not stop people who ordered multiple units.

I myself had the knowledge and ability to order multiple systems based on modified HTML code.
I chose NOT to do this. I merely wanted to see if it could be done (curiosity).

In addition, I spoke with a TD employee yesterday and asked why my order did not ship to which he replied; people who live close to the warehouses got the product first. WTF???

At this point the only thing that is clear is that TD has no idea of what is going on with these orders and this has turned into a mess.
