wow there is mutiple stories going around. i wonder which one is true.

over at fw, they said that:
CSR told me the same...orders are definitely canceled, it was no accident or computer malfunction or mistake. He mentioned that they simply did not have enough to fulfill the remaining orders

there also some rumor there is a system glitch and they are going to contact all the people and issue new order numbers??

which is true?

Let's not panic everyone. We might still get the hook up. The guy I just called at TD said that we should expect an email from AMD / TD within a day or so. He said that he thinks that AMD is going to change the offer and either offer another combo that they have stock in, or a credit of some kind. I've got his extension in case someone wants to verify. He said that AMD called up and told them to cancel at least 700 orders. We'll see how it goes. -Tal

SOMEBODY IS PULLIN SOMEBODY's LEG

I just got off the phone with one of the CSR's at TD.
He said "My order was cancelled on the 8th" (which is the day I ordered)"and that the order was cancelled because of a special T1 status which basically means that if the parts for an order are not in stock, then it will be cancelled".

Somebody said that the stuff was being delivered via productshipper.com...
There is no such company called productshipper.com... go to the website... right, there is no website...duh...

Who ever is hollerin about AMD glitches in their system or in TD's system... better tell the truth.. cuz I am going to call AMD right now and will report my findings here in a few...

No, some guy with 12 posts said that Tiger Direct said that. A number of people have spread a number of other rumors, none of which sound reliable. Read before trolling.

Well I just called TD out of curiosity and without even asking for my order number the guy told me it was because "I didn't qualify". I really am not expecting anything to come through anymore, but I'll keep checking back here every few hours. Seems like everybody's getting told different things.

I like how I found out about my order, so called TD this morning and reported what I said, and now I'm being called a troll. I forgot that low post means trolls. Silly me.

Also, as far as there not being a productshipper.com, go check your email from AMD, click on the 'order now' link and follow it...to productshippingcenter.com.

Man, some of ya'll can be real dicks sometimes. If you want, I won't report anything else that AMD, Productshippingcenter.com, or tigerdirect.com tells me.

Well, I hope the same combo at the same price is still offered when/if they call about this deal later today. Maybe it's not too late for the newegg combo if this doesn't hold to all the "reissue new order #" rumors. I still hold out hope, and because I need this combo

UNLESS THE AMD GUYS HAVE BEEN CHECKING THIS FORUM AND USING IT AS THEIR OWN SOURCE FOR THEIR OWN UPDATES, LOL, my call went like this...

ME: Sir, I have two company's with you guys and I registered and enrolled with your promotional, but noticed that my order was cancelled, how can I change this?

AMD REP: Sir I can give you a number to check on this 1-800-800-8300

ME: Sir that is Tiger Direct's number, they are the ones who told me that the order has been cancelled...

AMD REP: Sir, I do apologize. Our latest information states that we are in the process of resubmitting several of the orders that were ACCIDENTLY cancelled. The status of those orders should be changing.

ME: Sir do you know when I will be able to find out?

AMD REP: Sir, I do not know when, I only know that several of the orders will be submitted.


There ya have it.... I stand corrected, I guess I need to keep my big YAP shut and just sit back and relax... I will call AMD in a day or so... seeing as how I am one of those guys who received a welcome to AMD e-mail and not a "your company is not a Gold or Bronze or Copper, or even Aluminum or even FOOL's GOLD member of the AMD solutions provider.

Some of us will be getting our combo's some of us won't. I might not get one.. but I will definitely call AMD again to find out why...

Got mine, it works great (already ran fsb to ~290 and corrupted by windows partition). Highest I've gotten it is about 2500stable, my memory only defaults to 333 though.

Thankfully I have a friend with a business so I have a fully working acct. with AMD now, heh I could never find the link on their site before.

i just called amd solution provider too, same answer. they accidently delete allt he orders and finding which have to be fulfill. i guess that is the best way to delete all the orders and find out which is eligible.

oh well......

Yeah, I noticed my order went from "drop shipper" to canceled this morning...

If it doesn't go through, oh well...but I'd love to get this at this price.

I guess I'll sit back and see if I get the email later today confirming reshipment from AMD.

They obviously did, because I got in within minutes of this being posted on FW and mine gets here today. Most of the other early orders have already been shipped. My credit card company is quick though and if yours, for whatever reason, took additional time to authorize or process the transaction then TD would have just skipped it and gone on to fulfill the next one. I also registered with a website for which I'm the owner...maybe they did a whois. My point is that there are innumerable circumstances which could delay an order just long enough for them to run out of stock which occurred very quickly.

My take on the whole situation is this...
My friend and I run our own local company complete with a website

We are legit... but we are not a Gold AMD solutions provider which I suspect are companies like Newegg and Tigerdirect and some of those other mom&pop internet shops that have actually registered with AMD.

Now that they have cancelled all of the orders and are currently going back to check-up on the validity of each order, they might sift even harder to check some of these companies whether legit or non-legit.
That depends on how many orders actually went through.

I for one got a "welcome" e-mail from AMD. But who's to say how well that will stand up.
Let us hope that they received so many orders that they are only able to check "websites" as opposed to actually checking somewhere for "Gold and Platinum" membership.

Anyways, we will find out later on today.
Keep the hope alive...

I should be reading the bible or something as opposed to wasting so much time reading this thread and calling AMD and TD...

Well, this morning my order status changed from DROP SHIP to CANCELLED. Just checked again and it's been changed to YOU'RE F*CKED. Is that a bad sign?

What is the number for AMD that I can call and talk to a rep. This deal is important to me as well.

No they did not as people with order numbes way past mine got their package.


I just contacted the Marketbuilder program they gave me a number to contact and I am on the line with them now. I will update as I find out information.

I received a return call from TD, stating that my order was canceled due to not being a solution provider, for me to email solution.provider@amd.com to get more information. I did get the welcome email confirming my solution provider status, and I also do work for a legitimate IT company. I emailed solution.pro...@amd.com over an hour and a half ago with no response yet.

Needless to say, AMD and TD both are losing my trust (what is left of it) very quickly. I don't see what the deal is... why not just give a straight answer, even if it is"We're sorry, your not getting it" with a valid reason instead of jerking us all around?
