Received a reply email from them yesterday:

Dear Valued Customer:

It appears we sent you only (1) by mistake. Thus we will credit you half the charges you have incurred (30.31). We apologize for the inconvenience.

Sincerely,
SVC

This is after 3 emails. I don't think it was a mistake but I've yet to see a credit on my CC. :|
I've done business with them in the past which have been pleasant but this really sucks when they lie to you outright.

YAY!

What up man. I'm Tony, your fellow Anandtecher. It seems that I have read your complaint and I am here to inform you that your cases are on their way. Here are your tracking numbers:

Your case tracking #'s
1Z9T77T6034033xxx
1Z9T77T6034035xxx
1Z9T77T6034063xxx
1Z9T77T6034027xxx

Your parts tracking number:
1Z9T77T60340477xxx

If you have any other questions, please relay them to me. Also, in the future that you DO order something from SVC, forward me the order number. I'll personally package them myself and make sure it goes out the same day. Trust me, it has worked for other Anandtechers.

I received the e-mail that they were going to refund the cost/shipping for my second case. At this point, I figure that is the best to be made of a bad deal.

Unfortunately, it is also clear to me that SVC is choosing to not honor their contracts or correct their mistakes. The e-mail statement that the cases are no longer available is certainly not true in the general sense & based on reports from people that have been to their physical site, it's not true for their own stock.

I've had no problems with online vendors that make honest mistakes in pricing & correct it before taking my money. This is not one of those cases. It may be that SVC got more business than they expected for what is probably a loss-leader but it was an intended sale and not a typographical mistake.

After dealing with SVC for a long time, they have lost my future business unless they find a way to meet their contract commitments. I recommend that others consider very carefully before purchasing from this business. Supporting dishonest or unethical businesses is not good in the long run and may be equally bad in the short term as well.

I emailed Tony and received a reply from him today saying my order had shipped and he also provided tracking numbers. Way to go Tony! I guess as long as he is at SVC looking out for us and TCOB, I'll keep ordering.

Tony has been the saving grace for SVC since September. However, I believe he's been shutdown as of today on fixing these cases by his management.

The future with SVC is dimming.

First, sorry to those who are/had problems ordering this case. I ordered early and got my case the other day. The power supply is very quiet. This was the first time that I changed cases, and I won't mention have many hours it took me. I took my time but made plenty of mistakes, like putting in both my old hard drives and leaving my new 120 GB HD in the box. Oops. I couldn't get it to power on, and the Power LED wouldn't come on. I called Antec and they talked me through it. All I had to do was to lift a tab on the connector part, take the wire out and put it in a different slot, then it worked perfectly. Putting on the Antec sticker was the easiest part. I also like the way the box looks, not the coolest, but not ugly either. And remember, it's whats inside that counts. Now all I want is a new MB/CPU and graphics card next year! And then a bigger, better monitor. All in all it was fun to do.

Ordered 2 cases on 11/30, was charged 12/3. Heard absolutely nothing from SVC and did not receive anything. I e-mailed them on Monday and received a response earlier today. They explained that they no longer carried the case, but mentioned nothing about crediting my account back. Replied to their e-mail this morning and have not yet heard a response.

I've had some good experiences with SVC in the past, but I'll definitely be paying a visit to resellerratings because of this.

Both of mine showed up. They screwed up on my thumbscrw color again though. I ordered some black ones awhile back and out of three orders and four different colors, only the black ones came in correct...

To everyone unhappy with their order from SVC, please head over to reseller ratings and leave them appropriate feedback.

I'm going over there right now.

Also, someone made an observation that while they don't have time to respond to customer emails, they have the time to remove the reseller ratings link from their homepage. This greatly disturbs me and I won't be buying anything from them ever again.

Update on my situation. I checked my CC online and I see a credit back for the case including half the shipping costs. I'm still ticked off that they would lie to me about being only sent 1 by "mistake" but I've done business with them in the past and have been thoroughly pleased. I won't let one bad situation consume my feelings about a company. I would just proceed with caution and if there was another store selling it at a similar price I would go with the other company.

http://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?product_code=283768&csearch=1

Complies with ATX Ver. 2.0.3 anf ATX12V Ver. 1.2 - supports Pentium 4 and AMD Athlon CPUs.

+3.3V = 14A
+5V = 30A
+12V = 16A
-5V = 0.3A
-12V = 0.5A
+5Vsb = 2.0A

Dual cooling fan, MTBF > 100,000 Hours at full load, 110VAC and 25 degrees C ambient conditions.

Maybe someone who knows power supplies can tell if this is lame or not.

Thanks for the great deal.

just thought i'd put some power supply numbers together. Compusa 400W above, now RAIDMAX 350w
+3.3V = 16A
+5V = 25A
+12V = 14A
-5V = 0.5A
-12V = 0.8A
+5Vsb = 2.0A

and finally the antec 300w solution series:
+3.3V = 20A
+5V = 30A
+12V = 15A
-5V = 0.5A
-12V = 0.5A
+5Vsb = 2.0A

as you can see, the XXXw rating is very deceptive compared to the actual reality of power handling. in this case i would take the Antec 300w over the other two any day of the week!

I jumped on this too on 12/4, ordering 2 cases and a variety of cables and fans. After about 6 days they email to tell me the fans are out of stock - nice and prompt, right? Same day shipping - SHEESH! Anyway, I emailed back to say send the rest, forget the fans. Of course they've already charged me for the ENTIRE order (including the OOS fans). I've emailed 3 or 4 times and called 4 times (only once did someone answer then subsequently transferred me to voice mail) - I've heard nothing back. I have to agree, these people seem to suck. I don't think I'll be ordering from them again.

I ordered two cases and a few other items on 12/1. After reading comments about the cable sale, I didn't have high expectations. Received order 12/11. Great stuff at the lowest prices, including a break on an item which went on sale after my order. Like others said, if not in a hurry, I will use them again.

Disputing my credit card and visitng reseller rating....

1. I originally ordered 2 cases, a CPU and a bunch of round cables.

2. Next day they called and said the AMEX charge didnt go through- I called AMEX and they said it was initiated, but AMEX requrested more information (standard security check) and SVC never responded.

3. Next day order AGAIN. This ime they charged my AMEX $278 (2 cases, P4-2.24, cables).

4. One week later, getting shippiung confirmation, call SVC because tracking # errors out, guy on phone (english was not his first language) is completely useless.

5. One more week later, a VERY small box arrives. It has 2 cables in it, no packing slip, no cases, no CPU.
So, re-checking order confirms all line items shipped with same tracking number, but even UPS confirms its a 1.7 pound delivery! Hardy enoguh to cover this order.

Emails to SVC? unanswered.
And, to top things off, they dont answer the phone anymore- you get a recording to send email.

Taking a long time to ship is one thing, shipping the wrong thing is worse, not fixing the mistake is unforgivable.
I will be disputing the charge (AMEX is pretty ruthless about this), calling the BBB and nuking them on resellerrating.

Now I wonder if all these "random" security/fraud phone calls from AMEX werent so random. Perhaps they've screwed up so much they are on the blacklist? There sure are on mine.

Update:

I received an e-mail from Tony in response to my post here. He was able to arrange for the cases to be sent out to me. I have their tracking numbers and should be receiving them soon. He helped turn an unsatisfactory experience into a good one. I'd like to thank Tony for his help, but I still have a few concerns. I believe I was treated differently for having posted my experience here on AT and for mentioning that I'd be making my voice heard on resellerratings. I don't think there are a lot of other people who received the same treatment that I did, but I hope that everyone's orders that weren't filled will be re-examined.

Well, I did receive the credit on my account for the second case SVC chose not to send to me. A quick refund was all that Tony could get for me. Perhaps because I'm a long UPS shipment (PA), they just wouldn't send the second case. Initially, it looked like that was going to happen but I got a call back pretty quick that they were not going to honor their sales contract with me. Not worth fighting over at this point & I do appreciate that Tony got my credit quickly.

Tony - If you are watching this thread, thanks but I'm unlikely to order from SVC again. Reseller ratings for the site have been pretty bad for the last few months & I had not noticed since I'd been buying on a regular basis from SVC. I added to the reseller ratings and may take the few minutes to so the BBB route as well to help protect others. <Sigh> I hate it when a good thing goes bad.

I'm still getting screwed by SVC. Ordered two of these cases along with some fans on the 3rd of December. on the 10th I get an e-mail saying one is backordered, but it will be in stock on Thursday. No word that the Antec cases aren't in stock anymore. Just called them up and got a person. He couldn't check the system because the internet was down. Then when I mentioned that I ordered an Antec case, he said they were discontinued. Then I asked about some kind of compensation for taking so long, and magically the line was disconnected.

I'm glad some people got their stuff, but SVC is pretty thoroughly screwing me over. I figured I'd lay low and not make a stink and hoped that they would clean up their mess. Jeeez, do I feel stupid. I hope at least they will have the honesty to refund my credit card.. and even some extra as there has been interest compounded to my account.

Will post back on what they do, but they're getting all zero's for reseller ratings and getting reported to the BBB unless they do something serious to reconcile their "service".
