Am I the only one who thinks this case is UGLY, though? I would rather have a locally-bought Enlight, or something like it. I think they are nicer looking than this Antec and they would be about the same price if you didn't have to pay shipping. It does seem like a good price considering the power supply, though.

My next case

I've seen this case and while I don't think it's the best looking one I've ever laid eyes on, it's not the ugliest either. I'll admit that most Enlight cases (eg. 7200 series, which is comparable to the SLK1600) are better looking, but the ps in this unit is better when compared to the 300 watt unit that Enlight offers. It certainly is functional - front usb is a nice touch - and laid out nicely. I think of the SLK1600 as an excellent workstation platform that has ample cooling, especially after adding 2 optional fans. All things considered, this has to be the best deal on a case/ps combo that includes an Antec 300 watt SmartPower ps for less than you can buy the ps alone. Buy one (or more and save on shipping) before they're all gone...

I have an Enlight 7237 and I think it's the ugliest case I've ever seen. It's flat and blocky and feels like it's made of tin. They're also a pain to open cause you have to lift off the front then unscrew a screw then slide open the side. Edges are all razor sharp and drive rails are unique so you better not lose yours or you'll be buying them from me on Ebay for $5 each.

The SL300 only has 20A max on the 3.3V which seems a little weak for newer systems. I have seen comments that most of the newer systems (P4 2.4+) and especially those that have the newer vid cards should have at least 28 Amps on the 3.3V?

* +5V, +3.3V and +12V combined output: 280Watts max

This unit does not come with fans, except for the ps It can, however, accomodate (2) 80mm fans - one at the front (bottom) and one rear (below the ps)

Went and picked up two after work yesterday. These things are legit and retail boxed with true antec 300watt power supplies. At $20 for an antec 300watt PS that is a great deal now what to do with two cases that don't have pS's.

Why can't SVC get a better site yet? That whole "Yahoo shop" feel gives off an unprofessional vibe. If it weren't for this forum and the numerous testimonials, I never would have shopped there no matter what their prices.

I think what you see is what you get. I tried calling to check the stock on the SLK-600. First time, someone picked up the phone but no announcement, no answer. Just chitchat in the background. After calling out on my end, someone finally answered. Then I was disconnected while being transferred. I did get the answer I wanted with a second call.

SVC may have great prices but it professionalism is subpar. Not a criticism, just observation.

Just got one of my two cases. Not sure if they forgot my other one or if it's coming separatly.

This is hardly a mini tower. It's a half inch shorter and an inch less deep than my mid tower Enlight. The rear fan exhaust has holes for either 80 or 92mm. I like the way the case opens; will be much easier to get to the computer without having to drag it out into the open. Not too many sharp edges. Definitlyworth $29.

Nah, you did fine. The 3700 is a better case than the 1600. 120mm fans, EZ-out HDD cage with rubber grommets for quiet drive mounting,350W PSU, 4 external 5.25" bays, etc, etc.

I feel the same way. THere's a some large companies using the Yahoo shops, but it does send a bad vibe IMHO. My guess is that they started out on the Yahoo sites and it's simply too big of a job for them to migrate to a dedicated e-commerce package. Cost may be an issue, but there's a few competent stand-alone e-commerce packages for ~1k.

I just received one of my two cases also. Just wondering if you received your second one yet. On this shipping label it says 21lbs 1 of 1. I emailed them so I will update on the status of the other one.

Must be a mistake... they probably weigh 20 pounds *each*, and UPS didn't enter it in as such.
