Thank you, thank you.

Been looking for a sub-$100 PSU for a week or two just waiting for a good deal. This is superb for $65. Great steal for mid level.

I'd say for 100 bucks, probably Seasonic is better choice. but for this price Trio is excellent.

The Trio is built by Seasonic, which makes this pretty hot.....

Capacitors are OST RLP with the main cap being Hitachi. On top of that a 5 year warranty and great Antec service. I really don't think you can go wrong for $65........

It's true they are built by Seasonic but every source I checked concurs that they use inferior parts inside compare to S12s.

Inferior is a relative term. The S12 has an inferior price. Let's put things into perspective; this is a $65 Seasonic 650 watt psu with Active PFC, >80 efficient. It may not have the very best internals, but this is far from the Fuhjyyu cap, low end model issue using a completely different manufacturer.

Make no mistake about it, this is not a low end unit by any means. Excellent bang for buck here!

Good internal shot: http://hardware.gotfrag.com/files/upload/oscar_trio_009.jpg

well of course everything is relative, i mean the trio is better than a piece of trash right? it is, however an inferior product compared to other seasonic built units in the same power range. http://www.jonnyguru.com/review_details.php?id=12

that being said its a great deal for a good psu. just goes to show you that even though its seasonic built you cant assume the same quality. judge the product on its own merits.

Anybody used this in an Antec P180? Are the cables long enough?
If nothing else, I'll be able to report in about a week. My feet are resting on a new, boxed P180 and I ordered one of these Antec Trio 650's today.

The 550 works fine in a P180 - so i don't see why the 650 would have any shorter cables...

Wow - sucks! They took away google checkout too?

We're sorry, one or more of the items in your cart do not allow the use of Google Checkout. Click here for more information.

Interesting...guess they were having too many people use it

and yeah - no free shipping either.

It shows the same deal for me too but I did have this in my "shopping cart" yesterday.

I am just about to hit the "place your order now $90.21" button.

I got my PSU today (ordered Monday) and I hooked it up in about an hour. 10 minutes uninstalling old and installing new, 50 minutes managing the cables.

Kidding, sorta. The cables aren't that bad. From what I remember:

- ATX 20/24 pin connector (someone said the 21-24th pins aren't removable, they're wrong. they simply snap off)
- Two cables with 2 SATA connectors
- Two cables with 3 4-pin molexes, one cable is longer and includes a single floppy power
- Two PCI-E cables for SLi/Crossfire
- 4-pin P4 connector
- 8-pin Xeon/whatever connector
- One "fan only" connector with two molex.
- One three-pin fan connector (I believe it's for RPM monitoring only, I wasn't able to plug this in as I have too many fans, but the PSU 120mm fan spins just fine)

It was pretty easy to hide everything, above my top 5.25" bay there's about .5" of clearance to the top of the case, I generally shove everything in there and zip tie the mass of cables together so it looks neat and clean.

Yeah, but the rebate says everything has to be postmarked by 12/3, which is kinda difficult if you're ordering now and expect it to arrive any sooner than Monday.
