You should tell them that its limit 1 rebate per household for the imitation.

i got 4 packes of the Imatations for 15 each. sent the UPC to the Arita 20 dollar rebate, and also sent 1 copy to the Imation 10 dollar rebate.

Had them check their inventory (w/c they were reluctant to do). Showed 45 in stock, but claimed that they cannot find them or inventory is not always accurate. :disgust:

Need help.

I jumped in for this deal and got one 100pk arita DVD+R disk. However, when I tried to identify the disks. Guess what i got??? Both dvdinfopro and dvdidentifier show it is " DVD-R, RITEKG03, speed 1x-2x ". How can the DVD+R change to be DVD-R? BTW, I am using Iomagic 8X DVD +/-RW drive, which is a Optorite DD401 Drive.

Yes it says original it also states that if sending a manufature rebate copies of UPC can be used. I just gave it a try. If i get the extra 10 bucks would be nice, but if i dont, id still get the 20 bucks for the arita rebate. So dont really matter if it works or not.

I dont know about CMC quality, but if its 43 dollars OTD for 100 DVD+R i think it would be a pretty hot deal, considering you should be able to still send the UPCs to the Arita rebate for annother 20 dollars off. which would make 23 dollars for your DVD+R if the rebate goes through.

Hmmm... I have a Cyberdrive DX082D 8x DVD+R/RW burner and I can't get it to burn the Ricoh R01 discs at 8x. I have one (in an external USB case) that SAYS it will write at 8x when I insert a Ricoh R01 disc, but it actually writes at 4x. Tried it with Nero and DVDDEcryper, and both say they're gonna do an 8x write, but they do a 4x write...Hmmm...V111B firmware.

Rebate newb question,

I purchased another rebate item(120 gig western Digital Hard Drive) the same time I got the 4 pak's of Imation DVD +R's as a substitute.

I only have one receipt.

The other rebate item has both a manufactures and a Officemax rebate, so the original receipt is required to be sent in for that one.

In your guy's experience ,what would be the best thing to do?
Send in a copy of the receipt for the DVD's and hope?

Any advice is appreciated !!

I had pretty much given up on this deal. I just got my call saying my rain check can be filled. I asked if the rebate will still be honored they said yes and to send in the rain check with the rebate.

I just hope they don't forget about the instant rebate. I know I won't. Well I did because I didn't ask csr on the phone.

I wasn't too worried if they ever called but I burnt about half of my stock over the weekend. Definately need a supply of good media.

over half a spindle of these are gone..I like the BenQ/Acer 800 ..

I just want to say like some other people even though it says 2.4x on the dvd itself even it burns fine at 4x. I use dvdinfopro to identify it and it gets identified as

Media code/Manufacturer ID RICOHJPNR01

Hey scrap I have close to 100Gb of videos on my drive from the tivo that I have to burn. I have had a small cache of cheap media but hate to use it on some of the movies I have. John Wayne and Clint deserve the best media possible. I still have some editing to do though.

I definately plan on putting these puppies to use right away. I almost wish I would have gotten a rain check for 2. You can never have enough media. Especially with the tivo. Man I have 100 Gb on my raid that I was storing them on. I had to move a lot of them onto my empty 160Gb drive the other day just for some breathing room. I don't think it will take long to make a dent in the spindle.

Just want to thank the OP again. I would have missed it if it wasn't for mystic.

Some of the stores are calling for the rainchecks and selling the Ridata 4X DVD+R. Does anyone who makes this media? I don't have a burner yet so I can't ID these yet, plus I bought the blanks for my folks.

I know Ridata 4x DVD - R's are Ritek G04s so I'm assuming Ridata +R's are Ricohs as well which = good media.

the purple/pink top ones definitely are good to go at 8x ..at least in the BenQ 800A..but the OM on my side of town has some of these left @$79.99(still a good deal) but the restocks are in a completely different pkging(blue grey paper labeling w/ shrinkwrap on a spindle with grey bottom)..not sure what they'll be..

Thanks for the information. The one I got was a Greenish / Blue Label on the package,
Ridata 4x DVD+R 100pk. It came in a normal 100pk plastic spindle and cover, not just shrink wrapped.
