YES, they give you a new receipt when you PM on Sunday and NO, I've never heard of Staples trying to re-enter the coupon because all they do is return and rebuy, so you get your rebate with NO problem. People, trust me on this one...

Well, I haven't even opened the box so I'd ask for full refund if they dare to refuse to honor that coupon next week...

BTW, is this possible?

1) Go to Staples today, and PM that right away with OfficaMax's price, and slam the $15 coupon on top of it. ($80 - $15 = $65).
2) Go to Staples next week, and bitch about the rebate, and get the $50 rebate form + new receipt ($65 - $50) = $15

Also, it has the 12-digit serial# and the model# "LTR-32123S" on the label, so I'd imagine that's the real Liteon (the non-overclockable one although) but not the Verbatim one. Is that always right?

OK, I had it wrong Staples didn't want to reenter the coupon code they wanted to refund the coupon when doing the return.

There is no Staples B&M near me. Anyone know if there is anyway to request a certain drive if I order over the phone. Or, if not, would it be feasible to order the drive online, and if it is not the one I want, keep it sealed and exchange it at some other B&M (OfficeMax?) for the drive I want?

How do these compare to the Cendyne 24x models? I got in on the deal at Officemax a couple of months ago. I think the total was around $35. It was however a rebadged Lite-on. Would it be worth the upgrade?

The Rebate will probably expire when the sale ends, at Staples their sales usually run 1 to 2 weeks.
