For those of you whining about the thread title misleading, it's NOT. You're getting a great 32x/12x/40x CD-RW for under $20, you should expect to jump through some coupon, pricematching, rebate, BVGing, padding hoops to attain such a dreamy price. Besides like MysticMan1 said, pad your order with something that costs $10.01 or more that has a 'free after rebate' such as a surge protector, mouse, enema kit, you name it.

But seriously: I am looking for a tool with which I can add files in a "parchive" way to a CDRW (or CDR for archiving only).

So in case some sections/sectors of the CD fail due to scratches etc., I would still have all data.

This should be possible in Mt. Rainier format, so you can add files as you go.

And those additions should be spread randomly over the CD of course. Is that possible at all?

Does such a thing exist?

With blank media selling for penny just make two copy of everything. Having two CD-RW drives so you could make two copy at the same time would make it easy to do.

The rebate form will be on-line so that's not a problem, but I have heard that some stores want to reenter the coupon code, which will have expired, when they do a price ajustment. so YMMV.

Also there are some Staples printable email coupon for $10 off $50 and $30 off $150 that will still be available to use next week.
