Cancelled ....
But, telephoned Dell with copy of order on screen, demanded to speak to a manager, and got $69 credit to something elsel I wanted to order.
Now I wish that I had added some options to original order and maybe I could have gotten more than a $69 credit.
Dell is Hell .

I'd be as excited to get something like this as anyone else, but it's beyond me why people get angry or disappointed when a company doesn't honor what's clearly a pricing mistake.

clearly??
Then why did not Dell catch this?
Does anyone want a job to just review Dell's change pricing before released to web?
Clearly Dell could do this review, it they wanted to.
And, in the age of the $100 laptops for every child, there is no inherent reason this Dell system cannot be sold at a profit for $69! It's mostly about volume. You have a huge initial cost. Then you pour sand into one end of a machine which produces computers without addtional labor. It's like my first digital wristwatch that cost $500, and which was later provide by Mobile Oil as a free credit card sign up offer.
Technology is on a collision course. We can produce things for near zero marginal labor cost. But, to the extent technolgy is successful, who will be employed to earn the dollars needed to buy what is produced? We are DOOMED

I highly doubt Dell can turn a turn if they shipped these at $69 a pop.
CPU - $15
Motherboard - $10
Ram - $5
Vista - $20
Warranty - $5
DVD Drive - $5
Hard Drive - $10
Case - $5
PSU $3
Box, manuals - $3
Shipping - $5
Total = $86 not including a bunch of other things. (labor, staff, customer service, and etc.)
I didn't try to get into this deal, turning a profit on it will be tough.

Then how does someone make money on a $100 laptop for every child?
And Dell can always get Obama to just write a check as part of his trillion dollar bailout program, run by his cronies at pretty high salaries.

We are doomed.

why does anyone shop at Dell?
half the time you order from them they cancel it due to their error
otherwise it takes 2-3 weeks to get your order (compare this with HP who ships your order the same day)
my experience is their comps run hot, are loud, and emit a chemical smell (I sold my dell mini 9 due to this issue which others have reported)
