Very tempting indeed. It still looks pretty buggy according to reviews there, though. But at that price, I'm tempted to buy it. Hmmm.

Not a deal crap as I play this game, but it is really buggy esp on AMD products.

There is a memory leak issue that after a few games makes my computer crawl to 0-5FPS and only a reboot fixes it.

Others have the same issue.

It's a great game esp multiplayer.

For what it's worth, I have played this on 670SLI and a R9 290 with little to no problems after the first week or so.

Yeah, the price is great for such a new game, but I'll be waiting on this in the hope that they actually finish the game in the next few months. I know releasing alpha content is a new trend, but they tried to pretend this game was polished...

This is not an alpha release. Activision has been sloppy with the whole BattleField franchise. My BF2 freezes also (sound loops usually and I applied all the known fixes). For my Mac, BF2 runs flawlessly.

It's a great deal on this game, I missed the $40 deal for the premier pack bundle that included the game as well. It's like $100 complete now.

The multiplayer is really good. I only play the same few maps over and over anyway so 'new' contents isn't so important. The single player game is fun and only frustrating in a few parts. I didn't have as many crashes in single player mode.

I'd recommend it as a hot deal at this price

If you order this do they give you a key that you can register on Origin? I don't want to have to deal with physical disks.

The physical copy of this installs faster then downloading it.

But yes, if you buy the physical copy the key is inside of it.

Played this franchise since it began, loved BF3...but this BF4 sucks. It's buggy, the maps are not balanced and not very good. It lost it's "gritty" feel in favor of "pretty" graphics. If you want to get raped by 30 vehicles all day, be my guest. How many fucking vehicles do I have to deal with is ridiculous. They have no clue as to balance a map with armor and infantry!

I don't have an optical drive in my computer anymore. A hearty LOL at selling a physical copy of game online that requires registration with a download service. But the price can't be beat.

Some think it's nice to have a physical copy, some may not.

I didn't agree that BF3 was better than BF4 when I first bought this game, but now I am seeing why everyone keeps saying that. LMG's are rather useless in BF4. All I see are idiots running around with SRR's with red dot and one shot'ing everyone. Maps feel like COD maps, either too small or some too big (depends on game mode). The "quick" scoping in BF4 is just un-real, the game is really trying soooo hard to attract COD players. The good ole' RUN & GUN, SPRAY N PRAY play style.

As of right now I decided to download BF3 again. I remember when I was playing that game, I had "fun". I bought BF4 when it was on sale @ origin for $29.99 w/ coupon brought it down to $20. I would've felt pretty bad for myself if I paid near full price or more than what I paid for it.

When searching for a room there is an option for "infantry only" under advanced. I have no idea how many infantry only room there are though.

Once the servers crashed (updated?) on us last night nobody went back to the room we were in. After the crash punkbuster was showing off on all the rooms. It was at that point that I started downloading BF3 lol.

BF4 is a cool game but it needs a lot of work. $20-$25 seems like a fair price and it could be a bargain once they get the bugs worked out.

-.-

Sometimes when I try to join a server, it'll load and them simply just go back to my desktop saying "cannot connect to server" when I literally was playing on that server just minutes/an hour or two ago. Server shows 4-5 slots open. I am just tired of the little things that the game has wrong with it, all of that comes into a clump of A LOT of little things.

I guess i'll play it here and there, though not many hours will be seen vs. when I was playing BF3.

Sorry I posted and ditched making follow up comments:

After playing a lot since release, IMHO, the map sizes / game types do not scale well with player numbers.

So one map / type with a certain number of players will be awesome, then after server map change, the existing number of players maybe too large or small for the next map / game type.

BF3 has been out for years, and the best servers have consistent max players that work for the maps that have been chosen for that game type.

It's up to the hosts of the game to include whatever maps they want. Many of the games are labeled 'Large Map' so the players know.

I haven't had this problem.

BF3 has the advantage of being seasoned....BF4 will catch up eventually the same way BF2 went by the wayside.
