God, this is hard to read. Many years ago Brother printers were just AWFUL. I mean...AWFUL. They were typewriters that you would hook up to your PC and load a little software driver, and then it would jam and break.

I just can't bring myself to buy a Brother printer.

whats wrong with a Saturn? those cars get amazing gas mileage and they last forever. I rather be driving a Saturn then one of those station sized suv's that need a gas all the time.

i also have to second the vote for brother printers
i got the hl 1650 (without the network card) about 6 months ago
I love it
the 1650 will duplex automatically and i like that option since it saves paper
great printer in my opinion

I was with you a while back. I owned only HP and NEC printers, and then this came along. I put one at home and one at an office. THe offcie printer went through 60K sheets a year and shows no sign of dying. I LOVE this printer as a home printer.

I ordered the HL-1650 and they shipped the HL-1650N to me. Total cost was $375 shipped. The delivery employee told me that this model was all they had in stock and that it was the same model but it was a little better (obviously). Apparently OfficeMax Orlando (the Orlando shipping center) were out of stock on the standard 1650 when I placed the order. I'm pleased to say the least.

the second paper tray is a manual feed
dam lucky to get that network card for free
i considered getting the n model but it was just too much at the time
the other prb is that the network card is proprietary and they charge u your left arm to get it so i wont be upgrading
i also bought memory from crucial to expand it to the maximum
pretty cheap if i recall like 40 dollars or less
