I don't know if this will work or not, but Sears has the camera in their online store for $399 I believe. They have a 110% low price guarantee. I managed to get an order in for local pickup at my local OD. Unfortunately by the time my sister got there (to pick up and pay) the manager said it was "out of stock". Then after talking a few minutes with him (over the phone) he said that the one they had in stock was "on hold." I felt something very fishy was going on (probably holding it for himself)

My question is... can they confirm an order and then tell me it's out of stock (btw, there was a 20 minute Gap before ordering and going to the store.

HELP!!!

there's nothing you can do about employees who got dibbs on it except complain but that doesn't get you the camera. Just pass and look for the camera at a store with employees who don't read Hot Deals forums ...

Im going to cancel my order and pull my A70 off the market. The reason why I got the A70 over the A60 was that it took 640x480 movies. The max resolution on the A80 for movies is 320x240. Thats a no-go.

So that means 1 more for you guys! :shocked:

you might ASK them if it was reserved for an employee or customer? take action based on that. since your order was confirmed, you should have precedent over employees -- bring the confirmation -- their mistake right? at the very least, you should be able to get a raincheck for the same price. good luck!

I called to cancel my order and they said it was cancelled anyway. They cancelled the orders b/c supplier was OOS and couldnt fill back orders.

Yeah, sadly this was one of the first times I was hesitant for whatever reason on ordering something. I missed out big time as this item has been sold out since 3PM. Oh well.
