Mine does! (OfficeMax in North Colorado Springs) Didn't need a manager or anything, just asked cashier if they took competitor's coupons, he said "yep" and away we went!!!!

I received one of the Acer units and I'll tell you. It's a piece of junk. I could not do anything with my system while it was burning and it actually burned the first coaster I've made in a long while.

I went to OM and picked up a 32x LiteOn. Works great.

I'll just buy another on Sunday when the price goes down and return the one I get unopenend with the receipt I got today. At least I got my pick of units before the vultures swoop in on Sunday.

they have seemless link or something like that, prevents buffer underrun
i've run plenty of other applications while burning and haven't had any problems

scored a lite-on in woodbridge nj store... WOOHOO!!! according to my new buddy at OM... i got the last one with the 12 digit serial. there were a ton of 32x w/ the lite-on serial tho. so u guys can dig in on those next week

I have a 8K7A and windows xp. My dvdrom drive is master and teac 24x burner is on slave. Under properties in device manager both drives current transfer mode are "Multi-word DMA Mode 2". Is that good right? Should it be at a higher mode? I replaced the cable that came with the burner with a ultra ata cable(blue/grey/black connectors) and no difference.

Question is, I bought it at B&M and it came with a separate rebate receipt.
Do I send that in as well as the regular receipt?

Also, which UPC do I cut out. There's the regular Serial No. barcode, the thinner part # barcode, and then a 12 digit thicker barcode.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Use the store generated one and make copies of all submitted documentation for your records.

I got Lite-On from this deal. It's displayed as LITE-ON LTR-24102B in windows2000.

The amazing thing is that it can burn 24X with 12X CD-R. I purchased 12X CD-R almost 2 years ago.
It only takes 4:17 to Burn a 670MB data CD. CPU usage is always under 5%

Also did test on burn copy protected CD. Finally I am able to burn Lego Racer for my kid. I was not able
to burn with my old HP8250i burner.

Lite-On makes really good driver. I love my new CD Burner. I even think this driver is really should sold
at higher price.

Sounds good to me. The only other thing I was wondering is if there's a way to save the Verbatim F/W before doing the flash. Seems like it would be nice to be able to go back if needed, although I don't plan on going back

send the rebate receipt (well that's what i did when I get separate rebate receipts)
they are both the same receipt just one says for rebate and the other is your copy. kinda like saving you on copying expenses.

I am pretty sure it is the 12 digit thicker one (but if you wanna be safe you can cut both out and send them)

Went to my local Omax today, and they still had over 10 of these in stock. All were Acer but there was one Aopen and one TEAC. Got the TEAC and used an old $20 off $75 Staples coupon. Took the Staples coupon with no probs.

The IO Magic Acer I now have is going to Egay!!

I did that last night. I did not save the results but in nero cdspeed it started at 18X and ended at 40x(39.89). I don't remember the other resluts. I'm happy with it now.

Hehe.. I saved about a minute burning CD's from my Lite-on 16x10x40. Too bad that one went out on me so I had to get another. Oh well.

Does anyone know which packing slip we're supposed to send with the rebate form? I have a yellow copy and a red copy.. not sure which to send? Also.. are you guys sending in the entire Serial Label.. or just the Serial Numbers? Thanks.

hi, I think I got a acer since the serial numbers are long and has the letter pw near the end. I have a liteon 16 and it's very good, but never had a acer before, so who ever has the acer can u please tell me if the drive is good or not? thanks. the office max store in my area doesn't have any cendyne drive in stock, I ordered it from online, if I called them to exchange for a liteon, would they send the liteon to me and pickup the acer , just wondering..... Also, should I cut off the serial numbers on the label attached to the box or the code originally printed on the box which is right below the label? Thanks

I sent both of the upc like things on the back of the package. As for the reciept, the pink or yellow slip is fine. I went to the Edison, NJ costco today, and picked up a liteon cdrw. they still have about 10 left. I plan to return the Acer to them tommorow. Its not that the acer is that bad, its just that the Liteon drive looks better, and I hate the flip down lid of the Acer.
