To try to use the on-line coupon in the store, print-out the $25 off $100 coupon page or print the page showing the price of the drive with the $25 coupon discount taken off the price, then take that to your local store, and tell your one of those friendly OfficeMax managers that you were going to buy the drive on-line, but you would perfer to buy it from him and would he honor the $25 coupon, so you can purchase the drive from him. This has worked many time before, for a number of poeple, but it up the to manager to decide to honor the $25 coupon or not.

Lite-on =12 digits, no letters - Sample (123456789012), Also says "Smart-burn" next to the serial number.
verbatim (rebagded Lite-on) = 12 digits, no letters, (123456789012), does not say "Smart-burn" next to the serial number.
Teac = 10 characters, numbers - Sample (002-0123456)
AOpen =15-21 digits, 3-4 letter in the end - Sample (123456789012ABC)
Acer =20 to 24 characters, majority numbers, letters PW in serial towards its end. - Sample (1234567890123PWP45)
