I have found that most cendyne drives are no longer lite-on's More than likely you will be getting either a A-open, Benq, or Asus drive.
Of the three I would hope for the Asus as it is a solid drive.

Ebates will net an extra 1% of the pre-rebate total. Not much, but helps soften the noxious 6% sales tax hit here in PA.

Not necessarily. Not all of the Cendynes are rebadged lite-ons

Note that Cendyne requires the CD-RW to be registered with them, either online or mail-in, in order to get the $30 rebate. Not a big deal if you are getting it for yourself or to give to someone, but if aiming for resale, it could get a little sticky.

Looks to me like Cendyne is laying so many restrictions on their rebates that they are going to end up shooting themselves in the foot. I just don't understand why they GAF what we do with these drives after we buy them. Oh well, other deals on other days...

I've noticed this on other Cendyne rebates. It makes me question weather or not they have a way of spying on what CDs you're burning/copying/reading :|

Office Depot is selling the Cendyne 52x24x52 for $65.95, a PM might be YMMV since the OfficeMax PM policy says ( Available coupons and rebates will be deducted from the OfficeMax price to come up with a new OfficeMax price when calculating the price match), but if you are going to the deal anyway it can't hurt to try for the PM too.
