For OfficeMax and Staples coupons do a search on Google.com key word "OfficeMax coupons" or "Staples coupons".

If the OMax deal is like last time they will pull the drive from their web page and then you will have to find a "nice" manager to let you use the "online" coupon in the B&M.

I believe this is the one at Staples:

I'm debating whether or not to pick one up now, $150 for that drive is a great price.

Edit: what what?? From the specs: "Write Movies, Music and Data to 4.7GB DVD + - media.
Support for Digital Audio Output (S/PDIF). "

Is this true? If so this is HOT, it would be just like the new sony drive, right?

Just to clarify things up. The one at Office Max is only a 2X DVD writer and the one at Staples is a 4X DVD writer. It might be like last time at Office Max where they sold the 4X DVD writer for the same price if they run out of the 2X.

I had the 105 and returned it, My 103 writes to more dvd-r's at 2x speed than the 105. They really have to work on the firmware, even the latest update doesn't support many of the cheaper media that my 103 writes 2x to. My experince, I have used all 3 is the 104 would be my first choice, then the 103. Call me stupid but I love my baby 103.
I am sure that as soon as the firmware starts to support more media then the 105 would be a great choice. And yes, it can write 4x speed. But I would rather wait another 15 minutes and save over a $1 a dvd-r. I love the Pioneers.
Anyone who decides to upgrade and wants to dump the 103, PM me.

Officemax has it at my local B&M for $269.99 (2 Different drives-same SKU)

There are 2 model drives with the same SKU. ONline shows SKU# 20146496 for model #CDICD00106 which is the 2x A04 model. I have the pull tag from my B&M. Same SKU number, but with model #CDICD00209, which is the A05 4x model. If you look at the Cendyne rebate, there is a $50 rebate for _BOTH_ models.

So its $269 - $50 for $219.99. This is for the 4x model A05. I bought mine today, and will PM Sun for the other $40 off.

Online might be luck of the draw...but I wanted a 4x (CDICD00209) drive...so I went B&M to check the box.

Most Officemax store will not accept a on-line only coupon, so you're paying $40 or $50 more than what you can get it for on-line. What you might be able to do is buy the drive on-line and if it's not the one you want exchange it for the model you do want since both models have the same price and SKU number.

When you pull it up online (OfficeMax) it clearly shows "Style # CDICD00106" which is the 2x burner.

The 4x model even has a different box. So I didnt want the hassle. I got it B&M so I could see the box (model).

Adds show older 2x model box
2x Model

Newer 4x model looks very different

Am I nuts or does that rebate form specify that the drive has to be purchased from OM? If so, the Staples deal is a no go. Not bad for the 2x though...

Edited for lousy typing skillz.

The OM Cendyne rebate has both 2x and the 4x model listed. So the $50 rebate is for both.

No, your not nuts, at lease as far as I can tell. What you missed is that both Staples and OfficeMax will have the Cendyne DVD-R/RW on sale next week and of course staples will have it's own rebate.

Cool. I think I'll do the Staples deal. Thanks!

So it sounds like Staples is the place to go for an A05, unless you get lucky at an OM and get one there.

Is there any printable $50 coupons? All I can find are online codes.

Josh, did you read the date the sale starts in the thread title? You've been on the board long enough to know that
1) the price on OM hasn't been updated yet since the sale hasn't started and
2) Staples rebate won't be listed on their web site until Saturday or Sunday.
