Damn, just tried to burn a DVD-R with my 105 installed in a brand new USB2 external case it killed two discs. I took it out and installed it back in my sytem and it's running like a champ again. DAMN case wasted $4 in media!

I bought some KHypermedia discs at Office Max.. 10 for $20.. I have a bunch of Ritek's on order, but had to get something to test out my dvd's and stuff.. My set-top player doesn't do -rw's.. But yes, the KHypermedia seems to have worked fine.. But only at 1x.. Took an hour.. But it worked with no problems.. Good luck...

Is it just me? When I tried to use the DVD-RW blank included in the Cendyne kit, it will only burn at 1x.

Is this just a POS media they included?

My drive came with 1.00 firmware and I did not plan on updating unless there was a real need (i.e., media compatibility)

On the Pioneer A05 Info Center User Media List the Khypermedia light purple (Media ID cmc00rg200) 1X media will only burn at 1x using the firmware 1.00, it failed the burn test using firmware 1.21

Yeah it's only 1x, I guess that's part of why the drive was selling so cheap.

I picked up a Maxell DVD-RW 3-pack at Staples today for $10 after MIR. Gonna try them out, they're still only 1x though. I wonder when when the 4x are coming out...

I always send a copy of the packing slip (that the one that says "this is not a invoice"), but Staples stop putting the order date on the packing slip, so I also send in a copy of my on-line order (go tothe top of the page at Staples.com and click on "order status") or a copy of my email order confirmation, which does show the purchase date.

I originaly ordered early on sunday morning and paid the full $299.99...minus the 40 dollar coupon and +15.60 in tax.

My bill shows 275.59 due.

I called OM on weds (durning the deal week) and told the csr that I need to adjust the price to the current OM online price. He said ok, ...but a week later still no credit. So I called back and the csr said there was no record of any credit for my order! grrrr
She said she would give me the credit....but said an amount of $42.40 including tax.

I am going to wait to see what shows up on my credit card....but unless my math is way off, I think that they are short changing me! Right?

Does anyone have a scanned copy of the ad for the office max deal? I just wanted to have something to fax them just in case.
