Most of these drives come with firmware 1.00, upgrading seems to cause problems with cheap DVD-R disks, I think I will wait it out for awhile before upgrading the firmware.

None. Mine works, thats all I need. Screw upgrading untill it shows a PROVEN benifit.

I bought for $249.94 - $50 = $199.94 since I would like to have it price matched using the AMEX card , thanks

If you dont believe me, read the policy at staples or officemax's site (it dont matter which, they are the same policy word for word, just the example prices are different)

I would always test the policy without disrespecting boundaries with a CSR. It makes a difference when it comes to a deal. The only problem I have is when one is upset due to lack of understanding the policy
or undermining a deal or it's source out of desperation.

On this deal as on others, I did get price match as well as $50 Coup?f, rebate as well.

Got the drive on Friday, works great!
Backed up a movie with dvdxcopy, and it was very easy.

Loote1, that was small. It has to be at least $10 to PM with Amex. Hopefully it will be found quite a bit cheaper in the next 30-60 days.

But check this player, that small difference just about covered my taxi
fare ($7.76) to Sotherbys from my joint and it was good against my
Staples acquisition. If a price within Amex?fs threshold does hit
in that time line, I?fll be all over it but honestly, I'm content with the
price this thread has brought forward.
