Ordered mine at 2:00 A.M. Saturday morn. (got in late and decided not to wait till the CSR's knew about the rebate). Got them to pricematch (110%) the Bay area Fry's @ $209, they took the $50 off coupon (no questions asked). However, I was told that the pricematch is not guaranteed until the "pricematch" dept. gets into work later that morning. After reviewing/verifying, then the pricematch dept. would approve/disaprove. CSR took my phone # for the pricematch dept. to call me. I never received a call from them. Soon after I placed the order, I went to Staples' webstite and checked my order status. The order did appear, and status was "Processing". It's Monday morning now, and my order status hasn't changed. I really didn't expect it to because, with previous orders, only show "Shipped" AFTER I have already received my order. I just called my credit card company to ask if there was a charge showing for the amount of my Staples order. The answer was YES. So, this might be a good sign that my order will go through. Expected delivery is Tuesday..........crossing my fingers. I'll let you guys know what happens tomorrow. If it goes through, this is the breakdown:

$200.99 (Staples price of $299.98,110% pricematched to Fry's price of $209)
-$50.00 ($50 off $200 phone order coupon)
-$50.00 (MIR)
Free Shipping

$100.99 Net Price
$113.45 Final price including sales tax, delivered to my door

By the way, I called my local Fry's (So. Cal.) and asked if they would match the No. Cal. Fry's sale price. They said yes. I don't know whether this is normal Fry's policy, or I just got the right person, in the right mood. This might be good ammo in case Staples refuses to pricematch because the Fry's sale price is not in your region. Just tell them Fry's matches other Fry's stores sales. Staples will probably call your local Fry's to verify this, so it would be prudent of you to verify this yourself before spouting this off to the Staples CSR.

I noticed that the ad mentioned "Black Bezel".

I bought the Cendyne A105 yesterday at my local (Richmond, VA) Staples. Except for the rip speed (2x), it's great! I'm using DVD Decrypter, DVD2ONE and Nero with Maxell DVD-R media on a Dell 8200.

Does anyone know where I can get the $40 off $200 coupon? The cashier said that I need a printed coupon with a bar code. Codes won't work. He said I could get the $40 discount next week if I bring in the coupon.

I see you're a new member here. First welcome to the show, but there is a policy here about asking for coupon codes. I would edit this part out. I would just say they turned the one down you had. Perhaps someone will point you in the right direction to find others.

Ordered the burner this afternoon... I wanted to make copies of my dvd movies so I can let the kids use them (they have a dvd player in their room courtesy of xbox). Can someone point me to which program it is that was first mentioned in the hot deals forum about 3 weeks ago that makes it a pretty painless process? (there were so many with similar names). I've played in the past with ripping and.. and... but it's rather annoying to go through. Also, what are the minimum system requirements for that software to work reasonably well (I have a 1GHz Athlon, 639MB Ram)

One word - two different standard. Just like 56KFlex and X2 within 56K modem standard.

I ordered early Sunday using a $40 coupon. I thought for sure Staples would flag my order and cancel, but I just checked and it is no longer just "processing" but is listed as "shipped." I'll know for sure on Thursday, but this looks good. My final cost after rebate and including tax of $17 is around $167. I might also get a few more bucks from Ebates.

I walked in to the local staples and got in on this one... I had to settle with the 30 off 200 coupon though

oh well.. I still got it for $159 (175 after tax). Price I have to pay when I want something RIght then!

I also had trouble with checking the status of my order number and zip code.
I talked to csr greg, he informed me that sometimes the site has these kind
of troubles with some order numbers. He informed me that my order is valid and
would be delivered via ups 2/18/03. Today.
