Oli says he is getting hammered and has used up a third of his monthy bandwith already today. Looks like good info, so do as I did and paypal him a buck if you find it useful.
Yes, it has Serial ATA on the motherboard. Not SATA RAID though.Originally posted by: slayer1001
hmm crap.
i have a question that wasnt in the FAQ hopefully one of you guys can answer.
i choose the C1 configuration so i could get the 400sc for pretty cheap. but i want serial ata on the mobo. does the board that come with the 400sc have serial ata? or is it only by add on card?
if it doesnt have serial ata on it (or only has serial ata on it for people that choose C2) im going to cancel...
can someone that has one already answer?
thanks!

NIC (my guess is ON BOARD) and CD-ROM are included.......you did however need to select the keyboard and mouse option!Originally posted by: Delbert
dont forget the NIC and CD-ROM.
Mine was "Microsoft No O/S". It came preinstalled with a pretty neat O/S installer, where if you had one of a predetermined set of O/S to install (Win2K3 Server, Win2K Server, etc.), it asked you just a couple of questions (including license #), then you put your CD in and it automatically installed including service packs (which it had on the HD already). My guess is that there is a similar RedHat installer that will take some of the pain out of installing the O/S manually. I ended up installing Win2K Workstation so I bypassed their installer, but I did do a test with Win2K Server and it worked flawlessly.Originally posted by: gedman
I am considering getting a 400SC the next time this deal comes around. On the configuration page, you have 2 options for No Operating System (Microsoft or Red Hat). If you order this box with no OS, what is different between the MS vs. RH configurations?
