I jumped on this right when I saw "$179.19" and "3870" together!

Going to be cheaper than the yet-to-be-released 3850's with 512mb DDR3!! I'm a happy camper right now, since I just saw that pc club.com canceled my 7900GTX order without even emailing me anything.

I really hope Dell gets a BIG shipment of these in from Visiontek soon!

I ordered at 7:00, received a PayPal confirmation at 7:02 and the Dell confirmation at 7:04. They had better honor the damn PayPal (they should as it states that as long as it's on the vendor's website - which it still is!) :Q

Eh, at this point after reading all the other commotion regarding the promotion, I'm not going to trust Paypal to come through with my 20% rebate, even if it's still showing it on the Dell site. I don't see it any longer on the Paypal site, and that's enough worry for me to prove that they don't know what the hell they are doing, so I'll pass.

I think the deal is dead because Newegg.com posted "Deal Ended" or something similar yesterday on their website, and they were also delisted from the PayPal promo site at nearly the same time. Dell is no longer listed as well.

I bought mine through the PayPal promo link to vendors, Dell was listed at that time and it went straight to a Dell page that talked about the promo and how it wasn't going to show up on your total price.

Dell still hasn't sent me any sort of confirmation, but I have a pending from PayPal and they sent me a verification email when I placed the order. I am not going to worry about this, the card will eventually get shipped and PayPal WILL pony up the money or there are going to be thousands up in arms.

Anyone get their HD3870 from Dell yet? Mine still says it will be delivered 12/12. I see that some of the 8800gt orders have been delayed. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Heck no. I'm getting pissed.

Talked to Dell and the guy gave me some line about them not being responsible for manufacturer delays and it will ship hopefully on 12/11 as stated. Yah, that's today. He also didn't volunteer to upgrade mine to next day

Just got off the phone with a Dell CSR and now the estimated ship date is 12/20 gerrrrr. I did get the one day shipping upgrade though. I'm still going to hang in there. Anyone who gets one, post here.

Edit: Now email says 12/18.

He said they *will* have the cards within 24/48 hours

This is utter bullshit

EDIT- I did accept all the delays via their site so it shouldnt have been cancelled.

I got an e-mail a few days ago saying I needed to confirm my order or it was going to be cancelled. The website method didnt offer an option. I opted to send an e-mail confirming the allowed delay. 2 days later it shipped to arrive the day after x-mas.

On a strange note I received an e-mail from PayPal stating the deposit was made also.

For the first time I am very pleased with PayPal on this transaction and while the Dell order was a but discouraging they did come through for me.

On a side note the prices are starting to come down a little on the 3870's second the R700 was taped out and in 3 months time the next gen will arrive. It could be a blessing in disguise.
