Received mine about a week ago...gave it a few days to break in...0 dead/stuck pixels! slight bleeding in the upper left corner (not enough to notice). btw, if your fonts appear grainy/thin, try enabling <a class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="

The grainy effect isn't a matter of what's displayed on the screen, it's the way the screen is built. It's inherent to the LCD panel and it will never go away.
I'm still debating it as well as the stuck red sub-pixel. We have 30 days to figure out what to do, so I'm going to give it a while. I still have my 2000FP on standby if I need to go back to it.
Things I like better about the 2001FP
Brightness/contrast is better
The stand is awesome
The ability to rotate the display to plug in cables
The bezel is smaller
USB hub comes in handy
Things I don't like about the 2001FP
Stuck red sub-pixel
Grainy look
Things that are supposed to be better with the 2001FP, but I don't notice
According to the anandtech review, color reproduction is supposed to be more accurate, but I don't notice it
The 16ms response time. My 2000FP was fine, I never had any complaints.
Anyway, I think a lot of the people who are happy with the 2001FP are upgrading from older/lower quality LCDs. People who are upgrading from fairly recent/high quality LCDs (like the 2000FP) are less impressed. This is just my take from reading the posts on this thread. The 2000FP I have had ZERO dead pixels and NO grainy effect. It's a tough trade-off though, see my pros vs. cons above. The brightness, smaller bezel, and awesome monitor stand really make me happy.
Bottom line: The jury is still out!
Cheers,
John
