I think this information should be available on sony's website if it is a Specification. If it is something you have to visually see let me know what to look for. I will do some research to find out what the heck that stuff does.

I ordered this TV too in the beginning, but after some research I decided to go with smaller 4:3 TV
Got Smasung TXM3281HF (same as TXM3297HF) from Costco for $900
It was exactly what I needed

Line doubling should be pretty noticeable if it is bad. If you look at a projection screen without it, you will see thin black lines in the picture.

The line doubling on my XBR is ok but not razor sharp like some others I've seen but the velocity scan sucks. Whenever I get a fast frame, I sometimes see artifacts like pixels on the screen.
