The Basiq Series has been out maybe a year. I thought these might be better than the Smart Power series. I have RMA'd four Smart Power series Power supplies since January. They replaced one with a Basiq and it's been fine.

Yup, Fortron is good stuff. Nice to have constructive input instead of the earlier negative comment without any information to explain why they might not be so good.

Just went to my local OfficeMax and they were not on sale. I did get me a 100pack of DVD-R for $12 though, so it wasnt a wasted trip.

I just went to my local OM (plesanton, ca) and it was on sale for 39.99 down from 69.99. They didn't have any signage saying it was on sale but it rang up 39.99. However the coupon you linked to didn't work for me. As soon as I handed it to the cashier he immediately reached for this fax page and it had a copy of the coupon, which looked nothing like the linked coupon. He then told me they received this communication from their corporate office not to accept copies of the coupon. I needed the power supply and 40 bucks still sound like a good deal so I bought anyways. Props for the deal because I need the power supply but you may want to put a YMMV with respect to the coupon.

Lots of people in other forums are claiming it. I found this one that had pics that indicate they are similar builds. Basiq and Fortron pics

What's the UL number on these? If it's a Fortron, they will usually have a Fortron UL number listed on it.
