What are the settings you guys are changing on the lcd? I plugged it into my DVI port and it looks great.. havent changed a thing.

In the email from Dell is a customer number and order number, copy one of those. Go to UPS.com, Track, By Reference, plug that number as reference.

I have that "In Transit" thing and this (either number) worked for me! Mine's still in TX though, scheduled for delivery to CA on 13th...

Let the monitor sleep after 30 minutes of idle time. This means about 10 times a day of on/off.

Just leave the monitor on, and turn it off at night.

I'm not sure... are LCD backlights fluorescent? If so, I've read that fluorescent lights eventually stop working because every time you turn them on/off, the contacts in the light break down a little bit. I'm not sure if how long they live if you leave them on constantly, but I think its a long time.

hehe Hoobi .. we are all worn out after a long day at work .. just multiply your energy by 3 to calculate back to normal and you will find out that it is not that heavy after all.
I tracked mine, and it is delivered at the main office in our housing complex... can't wait to plug it in to my Matrox 550 dual display !! finally I get to us the DVI port !

But my order IS cancelled by Dell. I did NOT receive my order untill Moday, I called in and talked to four CSRs. they sound quite rude and all told me my order cancelled.

What I can do?

I've had that happen to me before...either they stuck it on the wrong truck and it got sent somewhere it wasn't supposed to OR they just misplaced it at one of the building and it wasn't taken care of for a day or two.

Either way, I'd expect the box to be a bit out of shape unfortunately. I've found the longer it take to get to you, the more of a chance UPS has to break it.

I just got mine set up. For $400, this thing owns--and I only have it in analog. Time to get the ATI AIW 8500 128MB card up and running for a little DVI action.

With Comcast installing cable internet at my place this Saturday, should be a fun weekend of gaming.
