gotcha...well, then their error code system sucks then, because I called when mine said that and their explanation was it was possible one of the two things I've stated happened for the same code.

If you got time and patience to burn be my guest but I certainly would not , especially on this particular deal which was

I had ordered my 1800FP the week before when it was $407, and got it last wednesday.... I saw over at fattywallet that some people were getting price adjustments to the new lower price, so I thought I would give it a try.... I called a couple of times and got shot down..... think I posted in this thread about it, and someone suggested I keep trying...

So I called a couple of more times and finally found a CS rep who gave me the price adjustment.... Thought I was golden, but never got an email and never saw a credit on my CC card.... I called back today and talked to a rep, and they cancelled the credit.... Told me I had called six times getting the adjustment, and they don't price match... Man I am pissed off.... I was going to just RMA the damn thing and wait till the price dropped again, but I sold my CRT.... Arghhhhhh!!!!

I always thought Dell had a good reputation for customer service, but between this and Dell's attitude towards all the people who ordered systems and expecting big rebates back, I think I am going to bad mouth Dell every chance I get....

Nope, I used the free shipping offer that they had.
I ordered on 03/06, got an email confirmation which stated that the monitor would ship out on or before 03/12.
I kept checking the order status on the website which said shipped, but no tracking number.
So on monday noon, I called dell customer service and I was told my monitor was shipped out already using airborne.
I asked for the tracking number and found out that the monitor was already waiting for me at the leasing office.

Check UPS again.. I did a second ago and the "Rescheduled Delivery" changed to "Scheduled Delivery" and the date went back a day, Mar 13, 2003. Not much better, I know, but I'll take what I can get

Mine left TX at 9:26PM on the 7th, scheduled for delivery the 13th to Columbus. I will have to call UPS tomorrow and have them route it to the obetz hub instead of Columbus. Since I happen to work at the Obetz hub, I can likely have it by the 12th. Plus then i don't have to worry about missing the driver.

Hey guys, I got mine today and I'm hooked up via analog connection from a Geforce3 Ti200 with 32bits @ 1024x768@85hz. My question is this....is anyone getting some serious headaches from the text?

I've had mine one for about 2 hours now and it's bothering me. Don't get me wrong, even in analog, Battlefield1942 and Freelancer both look spectacular. But I have to work from this thing also.

I'm just looking for some feed back. Also, any suggestions on settings I could change to help aleviate this problem.

In my experience, running a LCD with any other resolution than it's native one will cause the monitor to look "weird." Try it's native one and see what you think.

I got the 2000FP yesterday and it's a beauty. I love how clear and easy it is on the eyes. Much better than my 21" Viewsonic.

Anyways, I can't get the DVI to work. What's the trick? I have a Ti4400 GF4 card (PNY) with a DVI out. Hook it up to the monitor, hook up the vidcard. Boot, and nothing. Put it on DVI on the monitor and it just says going into sleep mode. Can't figure it out. Even the "digital" monitor driver is installed. No problems with the VGA connection.

I've tried the Nview thing and it doesn't detect the monitor. How do I get this to work? Thanks

Set this baby up using its native resolution (1280 x 1024) not the lower resolution that you report using, and 85 is not even an available frequency if you have installed the Dell driver for this monitor. So, install the correct driver, then adjust your settings to enable full resolution.
