The Dell website is screwed up. Once you add the item to your cart the discount varies from 10-25% off. Just hit update until the 25% off appears, then add the $35 off coupon and dont forget ebates.

But that doesn't really make sense. A replicator is for a laptop and the 18" LCD is for a desktop.

I tried various combinations including adding a port replicator the laptop, but the discount remains at 15%. I'd order it by phone myself, but since I plan on getting 2 I would like the additional 3% from fastcash from FT or 2% back from ebates.

Hmmm....I just spent an hour on the phone with a CSR and was told that the LCD and the replicator had to be purchased together to get the 25% discount. For the LCD alone, the best they could offer was 10% off plus honor a $100 off $400 coupon that I have, plus the free ground shipping. Total price shipped was $484.10 to MA.

Honestabe...did you get the 25% off just the monitor? If so, how?

I posted in the other forum as well. People are posting that they are having luck with the price adjustment over the phone. Also keep in mind there is nothing explicit about having to purchase both items. Besides what is the likehood that someone would want to buy a port replicator and an 18"lcd? Anyhow, I did not jump on this deal myself since I found out about a Dell mistake with their 2350 dimension. The cost for a Pentium 4 @ 2.4 is cheaper then the 1.8 P4. I am clicking the link at the top of this post and then adding the LCD to the cart. I get a discount of $35 (coupon) and only 15% off (97.35) for the promo. Gives me a total price (w/ free shipping) of $516.65

Also, see my post above re: the system kicking out the sale. The CSR said that it would prob. spit out the bad deal and you will get a telephone call/email reporting a problem. Hey, I am game though....you never know.

Any help is appreciated.

I didn't do the quantity thing I just removed the coupon did the figure tax and shipping and after that, put the code for the 35 back in. It seemed to work for me. I dunno.

FWIW....the latest catalog that came has a 35 of 300 or more coupon. I added the code to my list and it shows up as 100 off 400. When I spoke to the CSR, he said that it was an "either or" type. I may call Dell after I get a confirmation of order and ask that the larger amt. be applied.
