Soooooo tempting....... the screen was beckoning me to buy! Y'all are in a frenzy here too and that's NOT helping! I needed a second opinion and so I asked my coworker:
He said, "hold off!"
I said, "Huh? Why?"
I didn't know that my coworker's previous job was a research fellow on Organic LEDs for Kodak in Rochester, NY. Kodak won't make them, but they have many patents on the technology.
He said, "OLEDs are still a couple years down the road, but you'll be amazed. You think LCDs are nice compared to CRTs? The difference is similarly dramatic comparing OLEDs to LCDs! If you can't wait that long, LCDs will come down in price mid-year." He then explained manufacturing technologies being introduced now that will result in higher yields and new players entering the market forcing prices down.
Oops! My mistake asking for his advice. I'll wait a few more months.
