i ordered the 2000fp for me and the 1800fp for my wife last thursday morning using the coupon and the free shipping deal. when i checked on the status friday through sunday, it always said "in transit to local carrier", so i figured it would take a week or so before i'd get it - wrong! :Q

monday morning i went out for a run. when i came back, i almost fell over two big dell boxes in my door. dell apparently felt generous and upgraded my shipping to airborne express at no extra charge - groovy, baby, yeah!

i've been using my 2000fp since monday, and am absolutely delighted with it. i'm running it at 1600x1200 with my geforce 4 ti 4600, and it is amazing how crisp, sharp, bright, and crystal clear the picture is, especially text in 2d mode. gaming is equally pleasant, UT2003 looks great.

i am very glad i jumped on this deal, and i highly recommend these lcds to anybody who is considering them. (no, i do not work for dell )

a big "thanx" to everybody who has been posting information about the dell deals and coupons, as well as feedback about their experience with their purchases. it helped me make a decision and feel more comfortable with it. keep up the good work!

OMFG, this deal is unreal:Q Just 2 months back, I got two of these monitors, $560 each These are really really good monitors. Running a dual setup right now and couldnt ask for more. It's gaming response to games like UT2003 is excellent and no ghosting whatsoever in movies. This monitor is actually manufactured by LG electronics and has a response time of 25ms. I think it figures the transit time into it. So 1/29 is about right. 3-5 days is how long it takes for ground shipping and Dell supposedly ships the monitor within 24 hours... I can 't wait to get my hands on it...

In case anyone is curious there are currently 10 Dell 1800FP auctions on eBay, by the end of the day there will be at least 50, maybe 100.

This monitor is actually better in CS than the fp1900. the fp2000 is even better.. i have all of these.

Ordered one for $451.75 w/ existing Dell Preferred account. Looks like the additional $25 is for new accounts only.

I caved in and got this. Despite my dislike of Flat Panels, this is a better price than the 21" CRTs I've been looking at. I just wish the darn thing could to 1600x1200. Then I could use it as my main monitor instead of my curved KDS 21".

I may sign up for the HD anonymous as well. I can't afford this anymore.

I just bought one of these, but I couldn't find the extra $25 for signing up for DPA. So it will be costing me $448. I sent Dell an email asking them if I can still sign up and get the discount. We'll see what they say.

This does look like a better deal than the Walmart 18" FP. I like the idea of having the DVI input for future use. I bought a 19" CRT over 4 years ago and it was a good investment. Now I expect the 18" FP to be used for a much longer period.

I can't get the 25% off to show up, which is good, because I need an excuse to not buy this. I've got a 10% off coupon from Dell for "being such a good customer" that I could stack on top of this, bringing it down to something like $406. Too bad they want $72 to ship this to Alaska :\
