damn...so tempting. my cousin just got one of these during the last dell deal (for like $100 more!) and it is one of the nicest lcds i've ever seen. must resist. oh, and it is about 100 times cooler looking than the dell 20" model that people are going crazy over.

I have the 17" and it's really nice, very compact and light (11 pounds i think), but no DVI. great deal for $380. the only negatives with this one are the sidelighting on the screen is noticeable, especially on dark backgrounds, and the viewing angle is just a little too narrow for best visibility.

has anyone here compared the 18" to the 19" ..?

I also just received the 18" (with DVI) and it's much bulker (17 pounds). the screen clarity and viewing angle appear to be improved over the 17". also the backlighting appears more universal and even. Dimensions : 15.98" x 8.78" x 16.97". 0.2805 mm Pixel Pitch. color black.

OK i checked out the 19" specs it appears less bulky (15 pounds) then the 18". Also the Image Contrast Ratio: 500 to 1 typical, 400 to 1 minimum. Dimensions 16.39" x 8.2" x 17.18" 0.30 mm pixel pitch. color gray.

Brightness and max resolution/refresh were the same for 18" and 19"

I don't think there is. On a separate note, do you guys think that Dell will "pricematch" to themselves? I got the 1900FP from Home & Office and paid $684 for it. Can't I ask them to match that price since it's their company that sells it anyway?

Wow, beautiful monitor and sooooooooo tempting to replace my Planar CT1904Z with it... but my Planar is all-black and matches my system perfectly while the silver bezel will look a bit off.
Too bad they don't have an all-black version or I'd definitely be getting this and selling my Planar.

The 1900FP is great, I got in on the buy 2 get one free deal and paid about $630 each (I have to pay tax at Dell so it's about the same price now).


Now I'm getting this stand to hold my two 1900FP panels. It's going to be so pretty

Isn't it interesting that with the exception of Enzo's $2500+ monitors, none of the 19" LCDs are 1600x1200? I was hoping to upgrade my 17" LCD with a 19", but they have the same resolution. Maybe I'll go with the 2000FP, which is 1600x1200....
