Here is the official Dell Return Policy
[From the software and periph section]
Opened, As-New Merchandise
Hardware and accessories products for which the original manufacturer's packaging has been opened may be returned to Dell only if accompanied by a Credit Return Authorization Number (CRA), within 30 days of invoice date for a refund of the purchase price. Returned products must be in as-new condition, including the original box and all other original packaging, manuals and accessories.
Dell will accept returns of software for refund or credit only if the sealed package containing the disks or diskettes is unopened. No software may be returned once the package containing the disks or diskettes has been opened.
[From the small business section]
"Total Satisfaction" Return Policy (United States Only)
If you are an end-user customer who bought new products directly from a Dell company, you may return them to Dell within 30 days of the date of invoice for a refund or credit of the product purchase price. If you are an end-user customer who bought reconditioned or refurbished products from a Dell company, you may return them to Dell within 14 days of the date of invoice for a refund or credit of the product purchase price.
..... Near the end.....
This "Total Satisfaction" Return Policy does not apply to items purchased from our Software & Peripherals division. For those items, please instead refer to the Software & Peripherals division's then-current return policy. The "Total Satisfaction" Return Policy also does not apply to Dell | EMC storage products.
It seems that regardless of which division you ordered it from, you have 30 days from the date of invoice to return it. The "Software and Peripherals" division also says that non-defective returns could be subject to a 15% restocking fee... As an update to my earlier post, the site started working around 1pm CST and I ordered another 2000fp from the small business division, and recieved both confirmation e-mails after an hour... A couple of hours of work to save $400 doesn't seem bad to me. Does anybody know if I can just slap the return shipping label on my new monitor, or if I have to go through the trouble of swapping them out?
