You can cancel your order now.

I have heard there will be a coupon from a mod at the ---- forum and just read it at gotapex.com.

P.S. Don't blame me if it doesn't happen.

I'm wondering the same thing. But when I search the Dell site for 18" LCD monitors, it only lists the UltraSharp as a Dell 18". I suppose we will find out when they start getting delivered....

Cheers!

edit: Note that the 19" and the optional ($50 extra) 15" LCDs are described as UltraSharp, but the 18" is not.

different names. same monitor. my first 1800FP I got from them, only the box said 1800FP, while the monitor says "ultrasharp" on the top left.

The 1800FP is UltraSharp. Trust me, I'm reading your post right now on it, and the UltraSharp is on the top left corner on the monitor

Is the 1800FP good for gaming? I would just buy this setup because of the LCD, how is it for playing games like Counter-Strike?

It's definitely a step down from your CRT. The only game I play is CS and I can tell you that in dark hallways and corridors, it becomes very hard to see other players, friends and foes. No matter how much you turn up your brightness, the characters simply blend into the dark. It makes it really difficult when you're trying to determine wether or not to shoot.

If you're hardcore gamer, stick to your CRT.

Heh, well I couldn't pass it up still. I'll test it out and see how it is, if I don't like it I'll just sell it. Thanks for the info man!
