For the gigabit nic, it runs a service called PRONoMgr.exe

You know the way everyone spells porn pron, I thought it was some type of hijack for a minute, and just googled it to find out that it's nothing.

Yup, got it today. Rumor is they ran out of video cards according to the dell support forum. Bummer.

I ordered a 400SC (2.4C) on January 8th, and my ship date is now 2/15/04, but I have to tell them within the next day if I want to keep the order alive. I emailed them a few days ago and they said the hold up was due to a shortage of processors. Anyhow, I don't know what I should do. Should I keep the order alive, or cancel it and wait for the next/better deal....

Bart, on the Dell forums a few posters said most of us who got in on the deal werent supposed to get it this price. Dell is going to honor the orders, but they decided they were not going to ship out crap in a timely manner and treat us as 2nd class customers.

im going to call tomorrow as my emails have been pretty much ignored (stupid responses, and excuses)

Just received an email from dell about further delay. The following statement is in the middle of the email:

"Please be aware that unless you tell us that you want us to continue with the order despite the delay, your order will be automatically canceled on 02/03/04."

If you don't pay attention to this email and do not contact them, they will cancel your order silently. There are only 2 business days to contact them.

I thought I would add to this post rather thans start a new one.
I'm not sure how many of you received a letter from Dell about them sending the wrong Palm Zire but I got a letter with three options.
1 Shipment of the correct merchandise
2 $50 Dell coupon
3 Full refund.

I called them after receiving the letter and choose option 1 and they are sending me 2 new Palm Zire 21's and I keep the old ones.
Just thought I would throw this out to you guys because the offer expires March 26, 2004

You might give them a call, They canceled my old zire order even though I had already received them and now I have a new zire order showing.
