Why can't I get anywhere near this price? I configured the system for $819 (I added about $100 worth of stuff, like a cd-r, better speakers, and 40gig drive. I don't see how buying 2 makes any difference. Am I missing something here? How do I get the 2 for $323??? (or a little more with what I've added). I'm not even close.

What u r missing is that you get the bare bones price by taking options *off*, not by adding on the way you've done. I was able to get exactly to $359 for 1 system as instructed by 'bit'. Check off all the selections that 'subtract' from the price. You'll end up with a bare bones P4-2.4.

Very hot indeed....on Sunday, just ordered 2 Dell's for the kids. Those were Celery 2.0's, not the P4-2.4's in this deal. Only other diff is less memory, no 'free' cdrw, no speakers, no modem. Don't need the spkrs (got old ones around the house), don't need modem (house is networked on a broadband inet connection), don't need the cdrw (got a couple NIB from other 'hot deals').

Comparing apples to apples, the 'deals' from Sunday, including free shipping, free memory upgrade, free cdrw upgrade, and $100 rebate, cost me $424 per machine (not too bad), but this deal is $323 for a faster cpu....pretty freakin' hot if you ask me.

Does Dell have any price guarantee against itself??? Any options for me to either refuse the 2 I ordered and re-order on this deal?

Yes, wumpus is right. And your post makes it seem like you think you can get 2 for the 323. That's just incorrect. It is 323 each, pared down comps, after coupon.

Unethical maybe (depending on your perspective), illegal no. Anyone can start up a business at any time, some businesses last 100 years, mine only lasted 10 mins. , and if you want to get legal then you can say that you were thinking of starting a sole proprietorship using personal funds for this initial investment, but that it didn't work out and that you were left with this laptop.

wonder does dell business have any issues if I ship the computers to my house instead of our dental office instead?

we're currently closed for next week as we're moving into new equipment and minor renovations. How fast do they put together/ship out items. If its takes say a week to put together then ship that I'll put office addy as the receiptionist and sign for it but if it takes 2 days max then i have to leave home addy.

anyone know? customer service hold was quite long, don't have alot of time b.t. patients.

You can ship to any address you want, it doesn't matter. I've ordered from the Dell SB division before and had systems shipped halfway accross the country.
