Just Add The E173FP 17" LCD To The Config.

You need a $100 off $700 Dell SB one-time use coupon to make it HOT; otherwise the price is $474 AR which is WARM. Because this is a one-time use coupon, you must get it from your Dell SB e-mail or from someone who got one. And before you ask, no I don't have any. Also, the coupon applies to one system; so if you two systems in your cart, it will only take $100 off one.

BTW, Forums rules forbid begging for coupons or soliciting offers for coupons. I ended up buying my coupons off eBay; and they seem to be selling for about $20 each; considering that it saves you $80, that route may be worth it for some.

something that will hurt....why not call sb and let them know that you are interested in getting the computer and got an email with the coupon or you know that there is a coupon out there BUT you dont have it. if it is between ordering the computer or not ordering they MAY give u the coupon...

The coupon stacks on top of current discounts and the rebate.

While YMMV on all CSR calls, I have very, very rarely heard of them giving out one-time use coupon codes, unless special cirumstances apply. Also, someone on the "other" forum already tried this and the CSR said that the two discounts do not stack, even though they do on the website.

This is a pretty good deal, but before buying it make sure you understand that the dimension 3000's do NOT have a agp/pci slot for a video card.

I think the 3000 has 3 pci slots. The 4700 (which I just got) has 2 pci and 1 pci-express slot.

Yeah I was kind of mad I didn't get the coupon either; but apparently Dell sends these out at random. It isn't based on how much you spend. Several people on the "other" Hot Deals forum were saying how they spent tens of thousands on Dell's website and didn't get a coupon, while others who signed up for Dell's mailing list on some free webmail accounts tied to zero purchases got coupons.

Anyways, all five of mine are in production.

Go to Dell.com, click "Small Business", click the "My Account" link near the top, and register an account. It will have a checkbox for recieving promotional e-mails.

Make sure you add the E173FP to your config for $25; that will make it $474 AR; then add a $100 coupon to your cart; that will make it $374 AR.
